Charlie’s Angels is an updated version of the action movie released in 2000 and based on the 1970s television series.

With Lucy Liu, Cameron Diaz and Drew Barrymore now out of the picture; Elizabeth Banks directs Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott and Ella Balinska as the new Charlie’s Angels…

I watched the 2000 Charlie’s Angels movie a long time ago. As such, I don’t fully recall how I felt about it overall.

Having now seen this new trailer, let’s just say that I’m hopeful this reboot will pleasantly surprise me.

Luis Gerardo Méndez, Jonathan Tucker, Noah Centineo, Sam Claflin, Djimon Hounsou, Patrick Stewart and Robert Maaser also star.

Banks is my reason for wanting to see this one. Whether I make it to the theatre or not is another matter entirely. I mean, after all, this is categorised as horror rather than horror / drama / mystery. You know, like  A Quiet Place (2017) –  a scary-ish movie I had no issue watching because I knew it wouldn’t be too scary due to it only being part horror rather than solely categorised as horror.

Directed by Brian Henson;  Melissa McCarthy, Elizabeth Banks and Joel McHale star in The Happytime Murders; an action / comedy about a disgraced LAPD detective-turned-private eye puppet. 

The private eye puppet is determined to solve the case when the puppet cast of an ’80s children’s TV show begins to get murdered one by one…

I don’t yet know what to make of this. I’m just glad that the word ‘Muppets’ isn’t in the title, considering the ‘R’ rating. It will hopefully be a good comedy thanks to the involvement of Banks in particular and McCarthy. Fingers crossed.

Based on the hit children’s TV series and directed by Dean Israelite, Power Rangers stars Elizabeth Banks, Bill Hader and Bryan Cranston. The actual  Power Rangers are played by Ludi Lin (The Black Ranger), RJ Cyler (The Blue Ranger), Naomi Scott (The Pink Ranger), Becky G (The Yellow Ranger) and Dacre Montgomery (The Red ranger). They are a group of are high school students infused with superpowers that they must harness to save the world…

I used to watch the TV series growing up. Something – namely the trailer plus the high number of super hero movies in recent years and my current feelings about the phenomenon (boredom) tells me that I should probably leave this movie to the die-hard fans and the young people who are still  into the TV series. I haven’t quite fully decided just yet.

Trailer 1 of The Hunger Games, Mocking Jay Part 2 arrives and it’s clear that the makers had the word ‘epic.’ in mind. Huge fans of the franchise will be overjoyed and might even scream. I’m not the biggest fan so I didn’t, but I do understand.

After last month’s release of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2 teaser trailer, I thought we’d see approximately 2 more trailers before the November release date. Not so, because here comes, yes, another teaser.

No one is going to blame you if the following thoughts went through your head as you watched.

  1. Whose music video is this? 
  2. Really? Another teaser?
  3. Ok. I want that red suit!
  4. Is white really the best colour for combat gear?

Before deciding to patiently (not so patiently) wait for November, you first need to stop imagining the people in white performing a very impressive street dance routine and Katniss Everdeen lip synching lyrics that include the words, ‘red’, ‘white’ and ‘unite’.

In this Francis Lawrence directed finale, one thing is clear, President Snow’s reign must end. 

I really do  hope that it’s a spectacle as exciting as can be. Also How true is the idea that President Snow is probably the worst possible Santa Claus anyone could ever imagine?
