Bugonia, that Emma Stone, Aidan Delbis, Jesse Plemons and Alicia Silverstone film directed by Yorgos Lanthimos (Poor Things (2023), has a super promising new trailer.

There’s no doubt the cast had a lot of fun playing these characters, especially Stone. I now can’t wait to see this comedy/sci-fi film about the kidnapping of a high-profile CEO by conspiracy theorists unfold.

October 31st suddenly seems so far away, doesn’t it?

Maniac is a new Netflix mini-series about two strangers drawn to the late stages of a mysterious pharmaceutical trial.

Executive produced by Cary Joji Fukunaga, (Beasts Of No Nation (2015); Emma Stone, Jonah Hill and Justin Theroux star.

I’m mainly intrigued because of how this reminds me of Inception (2010). I’d also certainly have been more excited if Fukunaga was for sure the writer/director, but according to IMDb, he only executive-produced the series.

Maniac also stars Sonoya Mizuno, Sejal Shah, Sally field and Billy Magnussen.
