Almost Love is a new comedy / drama starring Michelle Buteau, Kate Walsh, Scott Evans and Colin Donnell.

Written / directed by Mike Doyle; the subject matter is romance in the smartphone era.

The humour, promising cast are why I’m intrigued. It helps that I’m already a fan of Buteau, Clarkson and Walsh.

Brian Marc, Augustus Prew, Patricia Clarkson, Pun Bandhu, Zoe Chao, Nadia Dajani, Lino Del Core, John Doman, Sienna Hubert-Ross and Gareth Keegan also star.

Directed by Nahnatchka Khan, it’s the story of childhood sweethearts who reconnect after they fell out fifteen years ago. Except now, one of them is a celebrity chef and the other a happily struggling musician who lives at home working for his dad…

I’m definitely ready for the humour, sights of San Francisco, Keanu Reeves in a comedy role, what is possibly a great soundtrack and a story about a woman living her best life; professionally at least.

I’m quite sure that I’m not the only one who was ‘mouth wide open surprised’ and very happy when Reeves showed up at the end.

Charlyne Yi, Miya Cech, Susan Park, Karan Soni, Marcella Bragio, Ashley Liao, Karen Holness and James Saito also star.
