The journey to try and save the Overworld is well underway in the latest A Minecraft Movie trailer.

Danielle Brooks, Jason Momoa, Jennifer Coolidge and Jack Black star, while Jared Hess (Napoleon Dynamite (2004) directs.

Sometimes, a trailer doesn’t quite hit the first time I see it. Other times, it never will, even after the fourth or fifth viewing.

I enjoyed the A Minecraft Movie teaser trailer, and I’m glad to confirm that, even though this trailer ‘didn’t quite hit’ upon first viewing, surprise, surprise; I’m now into it.

Something tells me that the fun The Angry Bird (2016) movie vibes it’s giving has a portion to do with it.

Bring on the silly fun, I say!

The House With A Clock In Its Walls (2018), Cate Blanchett

The House With A Clock In Its Walls, features a clock with the power to bring about the end of the world – and young orphan Lewis Barnavelt must aid his magical uncle in locating it.

Directed by Eli Roth, Cate Blanchett, Jack Black, Renée Elise Goldsberry and Braxton Bjerken are among the stars.

Because Jack Black is in this movie meant that this trailer immediately had my attention. However, a trailer having my attention is not much when compared to how excited I am when said trailer surprises me with ‘acting queen’ Cate Blanchett. The last time this happened, I was watching the trailer for Kenneth Branagh’s Cinderella (2015) – the reason why Cinderella is officially my favourite Disney movie.

Besides Blanchett and Black, I’m in for the mystery and magic.

Kyle MacLachlan, Lorenza Izzo, Colleen Camp and Perla Middleton also star.

Written/directed by Maya Forbes and Wallace Wolodarsky, the story focuses on Lewan’s development of a get-rich plan that shocked his fans and landed him in jail.
