The official trailer forA Quiet Place Part 2 is here. A John Krasinski directed horror / thriller starring Emily Blunt, Cillian Murphy and about a family whose survival is dependant on how quiet they can be in their everyday lives…
This is one of very few trailers that doesn’t feel too long even though it’s more than 2.5 minutes in length.
I’m definitely looking forward to all the major mommy ‘badassery’ we can expect from Blunt. I also find myself relieved that Murphy will be playing a good guy. The Abbot family could really do with another adult on their side. Especially considering all the people left who ‘aren’t worth saving’.
Okieriete Onaodowan, Blake DeLong, Ashley Dyke, Andy Rich and Silas Pereira-Olson also star.
A Quiet Place Part 2 sees the return of the Abbot family (Emily Blunt, Noah Jupe and Millicent Simmonds) as they learn that the creatures that hunt by sound aren’t the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.
Directed by John Krasinski; additional key cast includes Cillian Murphy, Djimon Hounsou, Wayne Duvall, Lauren-Ashley Cristiano…
I’m excited to see more ingenuity from the Abbots. I want to know the new and clever ways will they’ll think up to ensure their survival.
Also, I like the introduction of Murphy. My guess is that he’s probably not a ‘good guy…’ or is he?
Ashley Dyke, Andy Rich, Okieriete Onaodowan, Blake DeLong and Silas Pereira-Olson also star.
Starring Emily Blunt, co-written / directed by and starring John Krasinski, A Quiet Placeis a scary movie I wanted to see regardless of my characteristic of being ‘easily spooked into sleeplessness and nightmares.’
Set during a post apocalyptic future, Blunt and Krasinski are a couple with three children. In an effort to stay alive, the family are forced to live in silence because simply not doing so will mean they’re heard and subsequently become prey for mysterious creatures that hunt by sound.
I enjoyed this movie and was shocked, moved and impressed by the story, characters, performances plus the execution of the most memorable moments. A Quiet Place did a good job of showing the audience the general cleverness one would need in order to survive in a world where sound becomes deadly.
I absolutely want to believe that I’d survive living in silence. However there may be too much about me that is loud. A surprise sneeze attack among many other things would surely mean the end of me.
Besides making me an even bigger fan of Blunt and Krasinski, A Quiet Place made meappreciate my freedom to make sound. It reminded me of the gargantuan challenge that is parenting. And because of blunt’s character, it also left me feeling even more empowered and powerful as a young woman, something I wasn’t expecting.
If I had to pick one thing that I wasn’t totally in love with about this movie, it would be the jarring move from silence to a seemingly super loud sound / music.
Watch it because it’s good and A Quiet Place will likely not result in a single moment of sleeplessness. It didn’t for me.. yet!
Oscar winning director Kathryn Bigelow’s latest movie is all about the 1967 police raid in Detroit, USA that lead to one of the largest citizen uprisings in the history of the United States. John Boyega, Will Poulter, John Krasinski Anthony Mackie and Jack Reynor star…
This is definitely in my list of best trailers of 2017. Boyega and Poulter’s accents sound great – according to my non-American ears. I look forward to the seriously tense scenes that are surely coming my way.
Tyler James Williams, Kaitlyn Dever and Hannah Murray also star.
