Read my spoiler-free movie review of  The Highway Men (2019).

In new crime/drama The Highwaymen, Kevin Costner and Woody Harrelson are two police officers who have come out of retirement to catch the infamous bank-robbing outlaws Bonnie & Clyde.

Directed by John Lee Hancock; additional key cast includes Kathy Bates, Thomas Mann, Kim Dickens and John Carroll Lynch.

I haven’t watched a Bonnie & Clyde movie for a long time and I definitely don’t remember the story focusing mainly on the officers trying to catch the outlaws. As such, I’m rather looking forward to this seemingly fresh perspective.

I also didn’t realise I’d missed seeing Kevin Costner in a movie until I saw him here. How can I not miss him when I loved his character in Hidden Figures (2016) so much?

W. Earl Brown, David Furr, and Brian F. Durkin also star.

LBJ (2017): New Trailer From Woody Harrelson, Jennifer Jason Leigh, C. Thomas Howell, Bill Pullman…

LBJ (2017), Woody Harrelson
LBJ (2017), Woody Harrelson

In LBJ, Woody Harrelson stars as the President of the United States of America.

Directed by Rob Reiner, the drama/biography tells the true story of Lyndon Baines Johnson (LBJ), from his young days in West Texas to his time in the White House.

I want to see this so I can marvel at the seemingly great prosthetics on Harrelson’s face. I’m also curious about the story since it’s, in a way the other version of events that we didn’t get to see in Jackie (2016).

At this moment in time however, I may  need a break from movies set at The White House. You see, I’m half way through season three of House Of Cards and my goodness is it dark and intense!

LBJ Release Dates: November 3rd, 2017 (US)…

THE GLASS CASTLE (2017): New Trailer From Brie Larson, Woody Harrelson, Naomi Watts…

The perfectly titled The Glass Castle stars Brie Larson, Woody Harrelson and Naomi Watts. Written and directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the story centres around a young girl’s coming of age in a poor, dysfunctional family of non-conformist nomads.

The subject matter, this trailer and the actors involved have me so interested in this film.

Stories about parent/offspring relationships, especially once the children are grown up, are always interesting to me. Also, what wonderful roles these are for all the actors involved.

Max Greenfield and Sarah Snook also star.

The Glass Castle release Dates: August 11th, 2017 (US)…

THREE BILLBOARDS OUTSIDE EBBING, MISSOURI (2017): New Trailer Starring Frances McDormand, Woody Harrelson, Sam Rockwell…

Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017): Frances McDormand
Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017): Frances McDormand

The trailer for Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri may start slow, but it only gets better and better, so stick with it.

Starring Woody Harrelson, Frances McDormand, Sam Rockwell and Caleb Landry Jones, this one is a dark comedy from the writer/director of the rather memorable In Bruges (2008) – Martin McDonagh.

The story of  Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri centres around a mother who takes matters into her own hands with her local law enforcement representatives, after progress stalls in her daughter’s murder investigation.

Wasn’t that a good one? I forgot how much of a fan of McDormand’s work I am.

Lucas Hedges, John Hawkes, Peter Dinklage and Abbie Cornish also star.

WILSON (2017): New Trailer Starring Woody Harrelson, Laura Dern, Judy Greer…

Woody Harrelson, Judy Greer and Laura Dern are the stars of Wilson, a Craig Johnson-directed comedy about a middle-aged misanthrope who gets the surprise of his life after reuniting with his estranged wife.

Based on the graphic novel by Daniel Clowes, I want to see this because I rather enjoy Harrelson in comedy roles. His part in 2011’s Friends With Benefits is one of my favourites.

Cheryl Hines and Margo Martindale also star.

Wilson Release Dates: March 24th, 2017 (US)…
