THE BAY OF SILENCE (2020): New Trailer Starring Claes Bang, Olga Kurylenko, Brian Cox…

In new mystery/thriller Bay of Silence, Claes Bang is Will, a husband desperate to believe his wife Rosalind (Olga Kurylenko) is innocent when their infant son goes missing and is suspected to have been murdered. Only, that becomes more and more difficult as he starts to uncover her troublesome past.

Directed by Paula van der Oest; Brian Cox, Assaad Bouab, Alice Krige and Caroline Goodall are among the key cast.

It does look as though Rosalind is going through something greater than a bad case of postpartum depression. How great it would be if their baby turned up alive. Either way, I’m hoping for a good mystery thriller here. Those don’t come around often enough.

Anyone else find themselves slightly suspicious of Milton? Also, I’m looking forward to enjoying more than one location in this story. So far I think I see London, England and what looks like a Mediterranean setting.

Duncan Duff, Maroussia Frank, Hannah van der Westhuysen, Agni Scott, Shalisha James-Davis and Litiana Biutanaseva also star.

JOHNNY ENGLISH STRIKES AGAIN (2018): New Trailer From Rowan Atkinson, Olga Kurylenko, Emma Thompson…

In director David Kerr’s latest instalment of the Johnny English franchise, Johnny English Strikes Again (2018), English is forced to come out of retirement to find a mastermind hacker following a major cyber-attack.

The main stars include Rowan Atkinson, Olga Kurylenko, Emma Thompson…

It’s really the beautiful shots of my beloved London, England that has me thinking about watching this. I like that Emma Thompson is in the cast, however, I do find myself distracted by my love of Daniel Craig’s James Bond.

I could be wrong but kind of feel as though the humour in this movie is the type that will likely make me smile; whereas I’d really much rather laugh my head off, so to speak.

Lastly, is it me or does the plot of this movie sound quite a bit like the plot of one of Daniel Craig’s Bond films?

THE DEATH OF STALIN (2017): New Trailer From Rupert Friend, Steve Buscemi, Olga Kurylenko, Jeffrey Tambor, Jason Isaacs…

Directed and co-written by Armando Iannucci, The Death Of Stalin is a drama / biography loosely based on Stalin – the Soviet dictator’s last days. Starring Rupert Friend, Steve Buscemi, Olga Kurylenko, Jeffrey Tambor and Jason Isaacs, the movie depicts the chaos of the regime after his death…

Undoubtedly, I’m in for the humour and the dialogue. How could I not be with beautifully delivered lines such as the following…?

‘Our General Secretary is lying, in a puddle of indignity.’

‘I may as well just shoot myself, like mother.’

I’m guessing that Jeffrey Tambor isn’t actually playing a Russian that grew up in Russia;. Otherwise how would one explain his American accent?

Andrea Riseborough, Paddy Considine, Michael Palin and Roger Ashton-Griffiths also star.

Directed by Simon West; starring Antonio Banderas, Olga Kurilenko and Ben Cura, Gun Shy is an action movie with Banderas as an ageing rock star who’s kidnapped while vacationing in Thailand….

There’s really no watching this trailer without at least one of Johnny Depp’s various eccentric characters coming to mind. I want to see it because it could be funny, in a good way, maybe.
