Read my spoiler-free movie review of The Trial of the Chicago 7 (2020).

Written/directed by Aaron Sorkin, The Trial of the Chicago 7 is a new historical thriller about 7 people on trial for various charges surrounding the uprising at the 1968 Democratic National Convention in Chicago, Illinois.

Eddie Redmayne, Sacha Baron Cohen, Alex Sharp and Joseph Gordon-Levitt are among the key cast.

I can’t deny how happy I was to see Redmayne’s face on screen again. He’s one of my favourites, along with Baron Cohen

It’s going to be emotional but I’m quite sure it’ll be worth it because of the fantastic cast and that magic that Sorkin does so well with words.

Jeremy Strong, John Carroll Lynch, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Mark Rylance, Ben Shenkman, J.C. MacKenzie, Frank Langella and Noah Robbins also star.

I had no idea that what was missing from my life was another Alice in Wonderland movie. That was until I saw the rather beautiful new trailer for Alice Through The looking Glass.

I remember loving 2010’s  Alice In Wonderland (2010). As such, I hope that at the very least , this will be close to as good as its predecessor.  Especially considering Tim Burton’s highly imaginative brain isn’t the one in the director’s chair this time.

Bring on the colours, the rhymes and the brilliant costumes!

Johnny Depp, Mia Wasikowska, Anne Hathaway, Sacha Baron Cohen and Helena Bonham Carter make up some of the colourful cast.

I’m a fan of Mark Strong, not just because of the bass in his voice – even though it helps. I also love Sacha Baron Cohen because he’s a comedy great.

In 2016, both actors will star as brothers in the Louis Leterrier-directed comedy, The Brothers Grimsby.

I’ve really missed and comedy antics of Baron Cohen. Fingers crossed that thsi will be a lot of fun. 

Rebel Wilson, Isla Fisher and Penelope Cruz also star.
