OCEAN’S 8 (2018): New Trailer From Cate Blanchett, Sandra Bullock, Rihanna…

Ocean's 8 (2018), Cate Blanchett, Sandra Bullock

Directed and co-written by Gary Ross, Oceans 8 is an all-female leading cast that stars Sandra Bullock as Debbie Ocean. Ocean gathers a crew to attempt an impossible heist at New York City’s yearly Met Gala.

It looks as though Debbie is supposed to be a relation of Danny Ocean rather than a female Danny Ocean character, in a world where George Clooney’s Danny Ocean never existed. interesting.

I really want Ocean’s 8 to be good and my hopes are relatively high mainly because Cate Blanchett is in it. Such pressure on ‘queen Cate’.

Helena Bonham Carter, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Anne Hathatway, Dakota Fanning, Samantha Cocozza and Olivia Munn also star.

Ocean’s 8 Release Dates: June 8th, 2018 (US); June 22nd, 2018 (UK)…

I had no idea that what was missing from my life was another Alice in Wonderland movie. That was until I saw the rather beautiful new trailer for Alice Through The looking Glass

Trailer 1

Trailer 2

I remember loving Alice In Wonderland (2010); so may this, at the very least be just as good as it’s predecessor.  Especially since Tim Burton’s highly imaginative brain isn’t the one in the director’s chair this time.

Bring on the colours, the rhymes and the brilliant costumes!

Johnny Depp, Mia Wasikowska, Anne Hathaway, Sacha Baron Cohen and Helena Bonham Carter make up some of the colourful cast.

Release Date (s): May 27th, 2016 (UK & US)…

CINDERELLA (2015): Watch It For The Spectacular Win Against The Bullies & Cate Blanchett, Of Course

Cinderella (2016), Lily James
Cinderella (2016), Lily James

My reason for watching the new version of Cinderella had very little to do with the romance. I watched the movie because of the cast, particularly one of my favourites, super Australian Actress, Cate Blanchett.

The well edited trailer with the perfect musical score also helped, but ultimately, I was most excited to see how Director Kenneth Branagh handled cinderella’s battle with her evil step mother and horrid step sisters.

The film is beautiful thanks to Branagh and his well chosen cast which includes Lily James in the title role, Helena Bonham as the Fairy Godmother and Richard Madden portraying Prince Charming.

Besides having good dialogue and being quite the visual spectacle, the movie had me reflecting on my own experience of courage and the gift of kindness, especially when it comes from the most unexpected place.

Watch to see a rightful win and of course there is the fairytale romance.

Happy Cinderella 🙂

SUFFRAGETTE (2015): New TRAILER OF THE WEEK

Suffragette (2015), Carey Mulligan
Suffragette (2015), Carey Mulligan

At least three of my favourite Actresses are in Suffragette, June’s first trailer of the week.

Starring Carey Mulligan, Helena Bonham Carter and Meryl Streep, I’m almost certain that this film is going to be great…

I am very much looking forward to watching and honouring the foot soldiers of the early feminist movement.

CINDERELLA (2015): Cate Blanchett Is Who…? Watch It And Delight!

Cinderella (2015), Cate Blanchett
Cinderella (2015), Cate Blanchett

The following aren’t words that would ordinarily come out of my mouth, but lately, ‘I’ve been hankering  for a Cinderella movie remake‘.

And now, with Cate Blanchett as the evil stepmother, is there a better way to do it? I can hear everyone’s resounding ‘NO, of course not!‘ all at once and I like it.

Cinderella is simply one of the best fairy tales out there, if not the best. Not because of the famous romance, mind you. But rather thanks to the story of triumph over the unkind and cruel. Particularly when one triumphs without sacrificing one’s character and principles.

I’ve watched the trailer a very high number of times and the great music is a huge part of the reason:

Bring on March 2015!

Happy Film Loving:-)
