Directed by Stefon Bristol, See You Yesterday is a new time travel movie about teenagers who build time machines to save the life of one of their siblings.

Key cast includes Eden Duncan-Smith, Dante Crichlow, Astro, Marsha Stephanie Blake…

I think I’m quite aware of the basic rules of time travel. As such I’m curious about exactly what else will change and how, in the event that the deceased sibling is actually saved.

Myra Lucretia Taylor, Brett G. Smith, Wavyy Jonez, Khail Bryant Damaris Lewis and Frank Harts also star.

Ethan Hawke, Cara Delevigne, John Goodman, Rihanna and Dane DeHaan are the stars of director Luc Besson’s latest sci-fi adventure, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets. Valerian is a time travelling agent played by Dane Dehaan…

I’m very curious about Rihanna’s role.

PREDESTINATION (2014): Why You Need To Be Ready

Written and directed by film making brothers Michael and Peter Spierig, Predestination is a well acted mystery / sci-fi film, starring Ethan Hawke and Sarah Snook.

Due to the time travelling element, this is the kind of movie with plenty going on including a number of twists and turns that come quick and fast, so you’ll certainly need to be ready and alert.

As I watched, I found myself comparing Predestination to it’s more thrilling cousin, Inception (2010). Not that both films deal with the same subject matter exactly… but among other things, it didn’t help that one of the characters in the movie looked like a younger version of one of the Actors in Inception. I’ll let you figure out which one.

Watch it anyway if science fiction and particularly time travel are generally your thing. I’m only into sci-fi sometimes.

Happy Predestination 🙂

PREDESTINATION (2014): The Next Ethan Hawke 2014 Hit?

Predestination (2014) Ethan Hawke
Predestination (2014) Ethan Hawke

Ethan Hawke has been very busy. A fact that makes me, an eternal fan of great acting talent, a very happy so and so. With  more than 5 releases out this year, including the already very well received Boyhood, who can blame me?

A sci-fi thriller from sibling Directors, Michael and Peter Spierig, the premise of Predestination is time travel for the purpose of preventing crimes from taking place. I say the trailer is quite promising. See for yourself:

Did Tom Cruise’s Minority Report (2002) come to mind as this preview played?

Happy Predestination 🙂
