In Crown Heights, Colin Warner is a young man wrongfully convicted of murder, and his best friend Carl King devotes his life to proving Warner’s innocence.
Written and directed by Matt Ruskin; Lakeith Stanfield, Nestor Carbonell, Brian Tyree Henry and Zach Grenier star.
This one I’ll watch for three reasons. Firstly I’m desperate for this story to end well – because so often in these circumstances it does not.
Second, what a dream to have a friend like Carl King. He’s surely the best kind of friend anyone could have. Third, following Get Out (2017), I’d just love to see a character played by Stanfield who actually escapes his captors. That would make me happy indeed.

The Movie My Life 
Stanfield is such a versatile actor. Happy to see people becoming more and more familiar with him and his talent!
It seems that way. I only truly remember him from Get Out but I’m looking forward to whatever he does next. 🙂
