Directed by Brad Furman (The Infiltrator (2016), starring Johnny Depp, Forest Whitaker and Toby Huss, City Of Lies is a new crime/drama about the investigation into the murders of Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G.
I didn’t realise how much I missed a character played by Johnny Depp, one where his face wasn’t almost completely hidden by makeup and prosthetics, until I saw him in this trailer.
The subject matter is almost too dark and disturbing for me personally to watch, but curious, I remain. I also trust that Depp and Whitaker will make it worthwhile.
