The Donut King is a new documentary about Ted Ngoy, a Cambodian American entrepreneur and former owner of a chain of doughnut shops in California.
Co-written and directed by Alice Gu; this one’s a story of fate, love, survival, hard knocks, and redemption.
Like almost every single human ever, I love doughnuts. I’m seeing this to spend some time looking at doughnuts through a screen while eating at least one and learning about Ngoy’s extraordinary story.
I look forward to learning about how he built his empire and redeemed himself years later after it all went wrong.
