John Wick did not get killed in John Wick- Chapter 3 – Parabellum. So, naturally, chapter 4 has been due.
Starring Keanu Reeves, Bill Skarsgård, Hiroyuki Sanada, Donnie Yen, and directed by Chad Stahelski; this fourth movie has Wick with an even bigger price on his head. A price so large that he has to seek out the most powerful players in the underworld, from New York to Paris, Osaka and Berlin.
I like the international setting of this one. However, I’m mainly showing up to take in the colours, thrilling action sequences, and definitely to watch Reeves look good in a black suit while doing very impressive movie stuff.
Another reason is Hiroyuki Sanada. He just has a way of standing out in a good way in each movie I’ve seen him in. Two such examples being Mortal Kombat (2021) and Bullet Train (2022).
Is there enough in this trailer to keep your interest? Or are you already done with the John Wick franchise? I can’t help but wonder just how many more will be made.

I love this franchise. It seems as if each week at least one cable channel runs all three of them, and if I’m not watching sports or a movie I will turn them on and watch no matter whether they’ve just started, half-over, etc. Love the John Wick character and the supporting roles as well. Perfect “escape” films for me. Can’t wait!
The cable channels know precisely how popular and fun for the audience the movies are. The franchise does have some fun-to-watch characters. I’m most looking forward to seeing what Hiroyuki Sanada adds to the story. Just under 6 months to go till release day. 🥳
I’m tired of Wick sorry to say. I might watch it on TV one day when nothing else is on but definitely not shelling out any dough to see it. I think he has killed enough people.
No need to apologise. 🤓 It’s perfectly understandable. Also, four instalments of any franchise can feel like a lot. And the more they release, the greater the challenge to keep more people interested in Wick’s journey.
I would only watch it to see Reeves, honestly, yeah, he still has it!

Keanu and the rest of the cast generally still keep it enjoyable. But I must admit I’m ready for them to make the Ballerina spin-off already 🙂
I just had to google ‘Ballerina John Wick’ to catch up with you. 😁 I had no idea that an Ana de Armas spin-off was coming. I’m now wondering how similar it will be to John Wick, and maybe Atomic Blonde. What ever the result, I’ll very likely be giving it a chance because I’m quite curious.
Apparently, filming for Ballerina is already underway. No release confirmed yet though.
