The time for the second trailer for A Quiet Place – Day One has arrived.
Directed by Michael Sarnoski; the key cast includes Lupita Nyong’o, Joseph Quinn, Djimon Hounsou and Alex Wolffe.
‘It’s the end of days. No more people. No more New York. No more nothing.‘
Before the above words were said, I was perfectly calm and emotionally balanced while watching this trailer. Now, I’m… I’m okay, thanks to some focused deep breaths.
The story, performances and special effects have my attention. I’m also unexpectedly curious to see how the authorities will be deployed to react strategically; besides simply telling people to shelter in place.
Lastly, will the cat make it out alive? Now, that is the question.

I’d say the cat is guaranteed to survive. But then… does anyone actually remember seeing a cat in the first two films? 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
That’s a good point! I’m not sure animals are smart enough to know that being quiet is in their best interest when faced with an other-worldly predator.
I wasn’t sure how I felt about “going back” to Day One…but after seeing the trailer I got onboard the Quiet Place train again. Looking forward to this…and also rooting for the kitty as well.🐈
I don’t remember even thinking about what Day One must have been like before the first trailer was released, but I’m glad it’s here. My fingers are also crossed for that seemingly well-behaved cat and may the finished film prove worthwhile. 🙏🤞

This one is terrifying to me, but I still want to see it!
I certainly understand that feeling. Strangely, for me, I think I can handle this one (famous last words 😁). Especially because the creatures ‘aren’t real’ and I can see them now. I may have just forgotten how scary the other two films were. 🤓
I love the first two Quiet Place movies and the prequel idea is brilliant, esp with Lupita Nyong’o as the lead! I hope they give a good role for Djimon Hounsou here.
All very good points. I feel ready for this adventure. I wonder how many more A Quiet Place films they can squeeze out, for want of a better phrase. 🤓
