Starring Kate Mara, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Paul Giamatti and Boyd Holbrook, Morgan is the story of an artificial being whose continued existence is to be decided by a corporate risk-management consultant.

I’m a fan of Alex Garland’s Ex Machina (2015), and as I watched the above trailer, it occurred to me that this movie may just be the closest that Ex Machina fans will ever get to a sequel. Not ideal, of course, but I’ll take it.

A promising action/ sci-fi/ horror movie is coming. Written/directed by Steven Gomez, Kill Command stars Vanessa Kirby, David Ajala and Thure Lindhardt. It’s a scary man-against-machine story set in the near future.

After recognising David Ajala, an actor who was great in Starred Up – one of the best films of 2013, I feel more hopeful.

The general idea of machines taking over has always been interesting. All I’m hoping for now is that this movie is remembered for far more than just the word ‘Identify.’
