Directed by Andy Serkis; starring Andrew Garfield, Claire Foy, Hugh Bonneville and Diana Rigg, Breathe tells the story of Robin, a handsome, brilliant and adventurous man whose life takes a dramatic turn when polio renders him paralysed.

I’m intrigued by this movie. Only somewhat intrigued because the story seems quite similar to The Theory Of Everything (2014) – a film which still remains fresh in my mind. Also, I’m probably a little more curious about director Andy Serkis’s other upcoming movie Jungle Book, which is due in 2018, and based on the famous Rudyard Kipling story.

There’s a new War For The Planet of the Apes trailer and it looks really good.

Starring Woody Harrelson, Andy Serkis and  Ruby Rose,  in this instalment, Caesar and his apes are forced into a deadly conflict with an army of humans, and massive losses are suffered all around.

Well done trailer maker!

I actually want to forget about the other films in the franchise and just watch this. But, I know only too well just how unwise that is.

Since I haven’t yet watched the first two Planet Of The Apes movies, I’m sure that I’m missing something about why what happens in the above  teaser trailer is supposed to get fans audibly excited for more. The official trailer, also included in this post  has since cleared that up.

I love movies, but I do confess that there are some highly regarded films I’ve never watched – and a few more I may never seriously consider watching. Unfortunately, all Star Wars films have always fallen into this category.

The truth is, fantasy is simply not my favourite genre. In fact, I was quite sure I’d probably never get to watch a single Star Wars film. Unless…
…I met a really impassioned fan who somehow finally managed to convince me to put my aversion to fantasy movies aside.

What I didn’t count on was that, said fan might just be new Star Wars writer/director J.J. Abrams.

I didn’t actually meet him, by the way. However, I have seen the first 60 seconds of the new Star Wars Episode 7 – The Force Awakens teaser trailer.

I’m making no promises, of course. But when that next trailer does arrive, attention, I will certainly pay.
