Director Rupert Wyatt’s Captive State is a new sci-fi /thriller set in a Chicago neighbourhood almost ten years after an occupation by an extra-terrestrial force.

Starring Vera Farmiga, John Goodman, Machine Gun Kelly, Ashton Sanders and Madeline Brewer; Wyatt’s film will explore both sides of the conflict – the collaborators and dissidents.

I’d love for this to be good – especially following my disappointment with the execution of the really great premise of Extinction (2018), the last sci-fi movie I was excited about.

Captive State could definitely be great. My fingers are crossed that it all works out.
