THUNDERBOLTS* (2025): New Trailer Starring Florence Pugh, David Harbour, Sebastian Stan, Wyatt Russell…

Being forced to confront the darkest corners of their pasts is what’s in store for the unconventional team of antiheroes in Marvel Entertainment’s new action/fantasy/adventure, Thunderbolts*

Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, Wyatt Russell and David Harbour are among the key cast while Jake Schreier directs.

I saw Bucky’s arm in the dishwasher and thought for a second that maybe Thunderbolts* is categorised as part comedy, which would increase my chances of watching it; it is not.

Am I still a little curious? Yes. Enough for me to go to the cinema? No. Do I still want it to be good for the super fans and, because I like Pugh, plus her accent? Yes, absolutely.

Lastly, is it likely that the most I’ll ever see of Thunderbolts* is the trailers? Indeed. Nevertheless, never say never, because, you know… The Substance (2024).

Geraldine Viswanathan, Lewis Pullman, Sebastian Stan, Hannah John-Kamen, Olga Kurylenko, Wyatt Russell, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Chris Bauer, Joshua Mikel and Alireza Mirmontazeri also star.

Thunderbolts* Release Dates: May 2nd, 2025 (US & UK)…

Bad Education (2020), Hugh Jackman, HBO

Hugh Jackman (Frank Tassone) and Allison Janney’s (Pam Gluckin) latest comedy/drama Bad Education, is all about the unfolding of the single largest public school embezzlement scandal in history.

Directed by Cory Finley, Bad Education is set in Long Island, New York and features additional key cast including Ray Romano, Geraldine Viswanathan and Alex Wolff.

I’m in for the great performances and humour, as always. I also definitely want to see just how dramatically all the lies unravel, and the perpetrators get brought to justice.

The combination of Jackman and Janney is clearly a win. It actually seems odd that they haven’t already been in a movie together. I could be wrong of course.

Kathrine Narducci, Kathrine Narducci, Stephanie Kurtzuba, Annaleigh Ashford, Jimmy Tatro, Pat Healy, Welker White, Kayli Carter, Ray Abruzzo, Rafael Casal and Catherine Curtin also star.

Bad Education Release Dates: April 25th, 2020 (US)…

Rumble (2021), Will Arnett, Paramount Studios

Will Arnett, Ben Schwartz, Geraldine Viswanathan and Terry Crews are the cast of Rumble. An animated comedy set in a world where monster wrestling is a global sport and monsters are superstar athletes.

Directed by Hamish Grieve; Viswanathan is teenager Winnie who decides to coach a loveable underdog monster (Arnett), so he can become the new champion.

It’s Arnett’s voice and the humour that are the main reasons I want to see this. Hopefully, the story will be great.

Jimmy Tatro, Tony Danza, Fred Melamed, Joe Anoa’i, Rebecca Quin, Michael Buffer and Stephen A. Smith also star.

Rumble Release Dates: February 18th, 2022 (US)…

From writer/director Minhal Baig, Hala is a new drama about Hala Masood (Geraldine Viswanathan), a Muslim teenager in America who is coping with the unravelling of her family as she comes into her own.

Executive produced by Jada Pinkett Smith; additional key cast includes Jack Kilmer, Gabriel Luna and Purbi Joshi.

This one I’ll be seeing for reasons including I don’t remember having seen a story from this perspective before, and the fact that the trailer looks rather good only has me more intrigued.

Anna Chlumsky, Azad Khan, Anna Chlumsky, Taylor Marie Blim, Charin Alvarez, Sam Straley, Sonny Bhatt and Ahmed Lucan also star.

Hala Release Dates: December 6th, 2019 (US)…
