The Better Sister is a new 8-part drama/mystery/thriller starring Elizabeth Banks, Jessica Biel and Corey Stoll.

Biel (Chloe) and Banks (Nicky) play sisters whose long-hidden family secrets are unveiled in the wake of the murder of Chloe’s husband.

I’m always extra impressed when actors cast as siblings look like they could be related in real life; Biel and Banks, for example.

I’ve taken a couple of good guesses at how The Better Sister may play out. It would be nice to be surprised. Either way, bring on the sisterly dynamics, especially considering these two have always been fun to watch.

Are you in for the Banks and Biel face/off?

THE GOOD NURSE (2022): New Trailer From Jessica Chastain, Eddie Redmayne, Kim Dickens, Nnamdi Asomugha…

Read my spoiler-free movie review of  The Good Nurse (2022).

New biography/crime/drama The Good Nurse follows an infamous caregiver who finds themselves implicated in the deaths of hundreds of hospital patients.

Directed by Tobias Lindholm; Jessica Chastain, Eddie Redmayne, Noah Emmerich and Nnamdi Asomugha are among the key cast.

I’d been missing seeing Redmayne on screen, so I’m watching this for that reason and the chilling fact that this is based on a true story.

As someone who has resisted looking up details about the truth about these characters, I’m now especially curious to understand the thinking behind the ‘one neck, two heads’ artwork above. I’m scared that the truth is far darker than this trailer suggests. There’s of course, also a chance that I’m seriously overthinking matters. Still, I’m cautiously excited to find out.

Malik Yoba, Ajay Naidu, Marcia Jean Kurtz, Maurice J. Irvin, Jennifer Regan, Gabe Fazio, Brooke Stacy Mills and Alix West Lefler also star.

The God Nurse Release Dates: October 26th, 2022 (US)…

From director, Tim Burton and starring Asa Butterfield, Ella Purnell and Eva Green, Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children is today’s trailer.

Trailer 1

Trailer 2

Based on a bestselling book by Ransom Riggs, I’m sure fans of the story will forgive you in the event that X-Men pops into your mind while the trailer plays.

What I’m most curious about is all the peculiarities imagined by the author. I’ll certainly be very happy if I find this movie any more original than the peculiarities of the children.

So far, I don’t like the trailer song. It feels too annoyingly obvious. The instrumental is okay, but the words…

Judi Dench, Samuel L. Jackson, Chris O’Dowd, Allison Janney and Ella Wahlestedt also star.
