BLITHE SPIRIT (2020): New Trailer From Judy Dench, Isla Fisher, Dan Stevens, Leslie Mann…

Blithe Spirit (2020), Leslie Mann, Dan Stevens, Studio Canal

Starring Dan Stevens, Judi Dench, Leslie Mann and Isla Fisher, at the heart of new comedy/romance Blithe Spirit is a love triangle.

Directed by Edward Hall, the triangle begins when a writer asks a spiritualist medium to hold a seance to help solve his writer’s block. But instead, the spirit of his deceased wife arrives and subsequently complicates matters for him and his current wife.

I’m looking forward to fully taking in the humour and all that stylish attire.

Emilia Fox, Callie Cooke, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Julian Rhind-Tutt, James Fleet, Simon Kunz, Adil Ray and Stella Stocker also star.

Blithe Spirit Release Dates: December 25th, 2020 (UK)…

Harrison Ford, Karen Gillan, Bradley Whitford and Dan Stevens are the stars of Call of the Wild; a new adventure movie about a sled dog’s struggle for survival in the Alaskan wild.

Directed by Chris Sanders, Call of the Wild is based on Jack London’s best-selling novel of the same name.

I’m in because this one’s based on a bestselling book and Ford deemed the story/script good enough to ‘come out of retirement.’

Also, this trailer features some beautifully shot moving moments. I wonder how many times the finished film is going to make me cry.

Jean Louisa Kelly, Cara Gee, Wes Brown, Omar Sy, Colin Woodell, Terry Notary, Preston Bailey, Gary Sievers, Scott MacDonald, Michael Horse and Adam Fergus also star.

Call Of The Wild Release Dates: February 19th, 2020 (UK); February 21st, 2020 (US)…

LUCY IN THE SKY (2019): New Trailer From Natalie Portman, Jon Hamm, Dan Stevens, Zazie Beetz…

Lucy In The Sky (2019), Natalie Portman, Fox Searchlight Pictures

John Hamm, Natalie Portman, Zazie beetz and Dan Stevens are the stars of new sci-fi/drama Lucy In The Sky.

Directed by Noah Hawley, Lucy In The Sky is the story of a female astronaut who begins to slowly unravel and lose touch with reality, following a life-changing space mission.

The cast is good, and I’ll put aside my slight fatigue when it comes to space movies, because I’m curious about Portman’s character’s emotional and psychological journey.

Nick Offerman, Tig Notaro, Ellen Burstyn, Colman Domingo, Christopher Darga, Jeremiah Birkett and Stella Edwards also star.

In writer/director Gareth Evans’s new thriller Apostle, Dan Stevens is Thomas Richardson, a man on a mission to rescue his sister after she’s kidnapped by a religious cult.

Other key cast includes Michael Sheen and Kristine Froseth.

I didn’t know I needed a promising Dan Stevens film in my life until I saw this trailer. Oddly enough, perhaps even more than the above trailer, I found myself rather impressed by the special effect on the ‘t’ of Apostle at the very end. You didn’t miss it, did you?

Lucy Boynton, Bill Milner, Mark Lewis Jones and Ross O’Hennessy also star.

Apostle Release Dates: October 12th, 2018 (US & UK)…

Written/directed by Brian Crano, Dan Stevens and Rebecca Hall star in Permission, a comedy/drama about a woman soon to be proposed to.

The same woman also listens to a friend who suggests that she should date other men before committing to forever with her her boyfriend.

The precise nature of my thoughts when I read the synopsis went something like: ‘Oooooh… this sure isn’t going to end well… probably.’ Nevertheless, I’d still quite love to be surprised, for entertainment value purposes.

Gina Gershon, François Arnaud, Raúl Castillo, Michelle Hurst and Morgan Spector also star.
