The Nest stars Jude Law as an entrepreneur whose family life begins to take a twisted turn after moving into an English country manor.

 Written / directed by Sean Durkin; Carrie Coon, Anne Reid and Charlie Shotwell are among the key cast.

This looks like a very interesting character study. I know that Law can deliver the performance, so my fingers are crossed that the story proves thoroughly worthwhile as well.

Adeel Akhtar, Tattiawna Jones, Oona Roche, Michael Culkin, Abby Stretch, James Nelson-Joyce, Michel Alexandre Gonzalez and Bernardo Santos also star.

A story where the line between reality and fantasy starts to blur for a man who visits a mysterious Island off the British coast.

My love for a good mystery has me intrigued. Especially considering how very creepy some of the residents of ‘paradise’ appear to be.

I now find myself wondering which ‘British island’ this was actually filmed on.

Paddy Considine, Gianni Calchetti, Amer Chadha-Patel, Mark Lewis Jones, Richie Lawrie, Charlotte Gairdner-Mihell, Joe Blakemore, Freya Allan, Tom Lawrence and Will Rogers also star.

Both Peppermint (2018) and Taken (2008) came to mind as this trailer played. That’s precisely after the thought… ‘Is Blake Lively speaking in a British accent?‘ The answer is yes and my fingers are crossed that the end result is as thrilling as this trailer suggests.

Daniel Mays, Richard Brake, Raza Jaffrey, Geoff Bell, Nasser Memarzia, Jade Anouka, Jack McEvoy, Tawfeek Barhom and Ivana Basic also star.

Trailer 2 for Captain Marvel has landed and it has me thinking about how cool it would be to have blue blood, ‘live stronger, longer, superior and be reborn’. Basically I’d have to be Captain Marvel herself and since I can’t really do that, I’ll settle for the movie…

I don’t know if the line ‘Nobel Warrior Heroes’ is a joke but it sounds quite a bit like a great example of ‘doing too much’. Nevertheless though, I’m definitely very ready for the human and alien action sequences.

I’m drawn to what looks like the humour and kookiness of this movie. I also just want to see the talented Portman perform in a role I didn’t exactly expect her to play.

My levels of excitement about this show were first high because the trailer looks fantastic, great music and editing. But the joy reached new levels when I learned of Sorrentino’s involvement. After all, he did write and direct Youth (2015), one of the most visually stunning movies I’ve seen in a while. There’s also the The Great Beauty (2013),  2014’S Best Foreign Language Film Oscar winner.

I say bring on the stunning cinematography and storytelling. I can’t wait to find out what really drives Pius XIII – because based on this beautiful trailer, it’s not just love and holy duty.
