Based on a true story, Misbehaviour is a new drama about a group of women who plan to disrupt the 1970 Miss World beauty competition in London.

Starring Keira Knightley, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Jessie Buckley and Greg Kinnear; Misbehaviour is directed by Philippa Lowthorpe.

Knightley, Mbartha-Raw and Kinnear have me interested. I also want to see how much things have really changed since Miss World 1970. Especially so considering what happened with Miss Universe in 2019.

Starring Keira Knightley, Matthew Goode, Matt Smith and Ralph Fiennes, Official Secrets is the true story of British whistleblower Katharine Gunn.

Director Gavin Hood’s drama / thriller focuses on Gunn’s role in leaking information to the press. Information about an illegal NSA spy operation created to push the UN Security Council into sanctioning the Iraq war in 2003…

The music in this trailer leaves plenty to be desired. However, because Knightley, Goode and Smith are the stars, I’m in for the promise of good performances.

I want to see how Katharine manages to get away with it for the time that she does. I myself am very likely far too paranoid, appreciative of a clear conscience and a peaceful mind, to ever contemplate such a thing.

Cowardice! Yes, cowardice is probably the word for my approach. Of course, just wanting to remain a law abiding citizen has something to do with it too – but also definitely cowardice.

Indira Varma, Conleth Hill, Tamsin Greig, Rhys Ifans, MyAnna Buring, Katherine Kelly and Jack Farthing also star.

Read my spoiler-free movie review of The Aftermath (2018)

Directed by James Kent; The Aftermath is a World War II drama/romance starring  Keira Knightley, Aleksander Skarsgård and Jason Clarke.

At the centre of the story is a British colonel and his wife who are assigned to live in Hamburg, Germany during the post-war reconstruction. Tensions soon arise between them and the German who previously owned the house.

It’s probably too early to say it but I may already have my favourite trailer of this month. This story looks so very compelling thanks to the edit, music, cast, etc. There’s also the fashion. I’m definitely already loving all the clothes and coats on Knightley.

Kate Phillips, Jannik Schümann, Fionn O’Shea and Tom Bell also star.
