The premise may not be the freshest but I like Wahlberg, I’m curious about Malone’s acting, and the Wahlberg, Duke and Arkin dynmic.

Starring Zac Efron, Mark Wahlberg, Amanda Seyfried and Mckenna Grace, Scoob! is a new Scooby Doo movie that takes us back to when Scooby and the gang were all young trick-or-treaters.

From director Tony Cervone, the gang’s challenge this time is to stop a plot to unleash the ghost dog Cerberus upon the world – and end the dogpocalypse…

Nostalgia is the reason I’m curious about this one. I wonder if I’ll still enjoy Scooby and gang the way I’ll very likely always love The Simpsons. Especially my darling, super mischievous Bartholomew Simpson.

Jason Isaacs, Gina Rodriguez, Will Forte, Kiersey Clemons, Pierce Gagnon, Ariana Greenblatt, Frank Welker (Voice of Scooby), Ken Jeong, Iain Armitage (Voice of Shaggy) and Tracy Morgan also star.

I don’t know how much I’ll enjoy this, especially since I didn’t totally love Wahlberg’s Daddy’s Home movies. still I’m in because I appreciate him and I’m excited for the happy ending. I really want the happy ending!

I really want this to be the kind of America / Asia movie hit I’ve been waiting for. I’m most exited for the classic Wahlberg brand of charm and ‘badassery.’ And of course, the impressive Martial art skills of Iko Uwais.

This trailer is definitely longer than it needed to be but the visuals and dialogue are so very promising already… I know it’s a little early to say but I’m thinking that this could be my ‘trailer of the week’.

Ronda Rousey, Sala Baker and Terry Kinney also star.

The first Daddy’s Home (2015) movie starring Mark Wahlberg, Will Ferrell and Linda Cardelilni featured a ‘cool biological dad versus new and not so cool stepdad’ dynamic between Ferrell and Wahlberg. For the Sean Anders directed sequel, the same dynamic remains, except this time Ferrell and Wahlberg’s characters are the best of friends but their dads played by Mel Gibson and John Lithgow are not quite that…

 

The original movie was OK and featured some memorable scenes. I’ll be tuning in this time for much of the same and hopefully more. I already love the kiss between Lithgow and Ferrell’s characters.
