I doubt that there’s, today, a more highly respected name where nature documentaries are concerned than Sir David Attenborough. At least not in the United Kingdom.

Following the success of Blue Planet (2001), Attenborough returns for a second dive into the powerful, unforgiving, yet beautiful and compelling ocean, to give us access to the greatest and least known parts of our planet.

Watching this trailer really makes me wish that I were less of a wuss when it comes to underwater creatures. Thank goodness that I live in a time when I don’t actually have to go diving to know whats beneath the surface. I’ll be tuning in because Attenborough is brilliant, as are the stunning images in this trailer.

Tracked from the highest mountains to the remotest islands and exotic jungles, and with the help of great filmmaking technology, seriously jaw-dropping footage awaits. Actors Jackie Chan and Robert Redford are the narraters.

I’m in for the high-quality images of Earth’s animals, both beautiful and scary. I mean… I just saw what happened with the snakes from precisely one minute into this trailer. Relaxing viewing is not what I’m expecting, and I’m ready.
