RAYMOND & RAY (2022): New Trailer Starring Ethan Hawke, Ewan McGregor, Sophie Okonedo, Vondie Curtis-Hall

New comedy/drama Raymond & Ray stars Ewan McGregor and Ethan Hawke as half-brothers reunited at their father’s funeral.

Directed by Rodrigo García; key supporting cast includes Vondie Curtis-Hall, Maribel Verdú, Todd Louiso, Maxim Swinton, Tom Bower,

I had no clue how much I’d like the idea of Hawke and McGregor as brothers until I saw this trailer. The strong sibling dynamic and the humour are what I’m most looking forward to.

I say, bring on the healing for these connected brothers.

In the meantime, I’m going to reminisce about and maybe even re-watch the most fun scenes in the drama/comedy Death at a Funeral (2010); the movie that came to mind as this trailer played.

Chris Silcox, Chris Grabher, Laura Linda Bradley, Tom Bower, Leydi Morales and Natalie Cassell also star.

Raymond & Ray Release Dates: October 21st, 2022 (US)…

ALIEN WORLDS (2020): New Trailer For Netflix Documentary About Aliens…

Alien Worlds (2020), Netflix

Netflix’s latest documentary Alien Worlds is all about showing us what life on other planets might be like.

Narrated by Sophie Okonedo; Alien Worlds will show us extra terrestrial life by blending science fact, science fiction and applying the laws of life on Earth to the rest of the galaxy.

This trailer has me looking forward to spending time with aliens in the safest way possible. The animals do intrigue me. However, I’m most excited about how scientists have imagined our human counterparts on other planets.

How fun this project must have been for the scientists, tasked with imagining entire life forms.

Alien Worlds Release Dates: December 2nd 2020…

WILD ROSE (2018): New Trailer From Julie Walters, Jessie Buckley, Sophie Okonedo…

Wild Rose (2018), Jessie Buckley

Starring Julie Walters, Jessie Buckley, Sophie Okonedo and directed by Tom Harper; at the centre of new music / drama Wild Rose is Rose-Lynn Harlan (Buckley), a musician from Glasgow with big dreams of becoming a country music artist in Nashville, USA…

I’m in for a story about a dream that seems so far from a person’s beginnings and circumstances, and yet they still believe. I’m also interested in the family dynamic.

On a separate but connected note, I’ve just tried but currently cannot think of a single British musician who’s made it big in Nashville. That’s not to say that it can’t or hasn’t been done, of course. Anything is possible.

Jamie Sives, Gemma McElhinney, James Harkness, Ashley Shelton, Tracy Wiles and Daniel Campbell also star.

Wild Rose Release Dates: April 12th, 2019 (UK); May 10th, 2019 (US)…
