If like myself you didn’t fully keep up with the high profile Anthony Weiner sexting scandals when they were happening a few years ago, even though you were curious, todays documentary  trailer is for you.

Directed by josh Kriegman and Elyse Steinberg, Weiner takes us behind the scenes of the disgraced New York Congressman’s mayoral campaign as it looks at the political climate in today’s America.

The above trailer seems to be promising a healthy serving of humour and that is simply something I cannot miss out on. It’s thanks to such humour that I now have flashbacks of scenes from HBO’s hit political satire comedy series, Veep and, the original British version, The Thick Of It running through my mind.

Humour aside, I imagine that it’s not easy for Weiner to reflect on what his career might have been.
