SNOW WHITE (2025): New Trailer Starring Rachel Zegler, Gal Gadot, Ansu Kabia, Colin Michael Carmichael…

Snow White (2025), Rachel Zegler, Disney

The live-action adaptation Disney’s 1937 animated film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs finally has a trailer and it looks good.

Directed by Mark Webb, the movie stars Rachel Zegler, Gal Gadot, Colin Michael Carmichael and Ansu Kabia.

Doesn’t this look mighty pretty? The cast is certainly attractive, but look at the glorious colours and the uber-polished finish.

Naturally, as a non-fan of musicals, I’m not looking forward to the singing, even though there’s a chance I may be pleasantly surprised.

What I’m most excited about is Gadot’s turn as the evil queen.

For me, as this trailer played, other Disney movies came to mind, including Little Red Riding Hood and Belle from Beauty and the Beast, and Cinderella (2015). The latter, thanks to Snow White’s emphasis on kindness in the super wonderful trailer.

What are your feelings about this new live-action remake?

Emilia Faucher, Lorena Andrea, Lukus Alexander, Luisa Guerreiro, Eddison Burch, Misa Koide, Dujonna Gift, Dean Nolan, Leon Ung, Kat Collings, Candy Ma and Daniel Lindqvist also star.

Snow White Release Dates: March 21st, 2025 (US & UK)…

MADAGASCAR (2005): The Things I Liked…

Madagascar is an animated movie I remember enjoying a lot in 2005.

The Eric Darnell and Tom McGrath-directed film about animals from New York Zoo that find themselves in the jungles of Madagascar has some very memorable characters.

Though the resourceful penguins are fantastic, King Julian has my heart, not just because of the words that come out of his mouth, but equally because of his gloriously joy-inducing dance moves.

Also, as I rewatched the movie, I suddenly found myself dreaming of a pet lemur. However, I’m sure it’s best to get a King Julian plushie instead; ideally, one that’s motorised so he can dance to my heart’s content.

Have you seen Madagascar recently? It’s not a perfect movie, but it’s fun and stars Sacha Baron Cohen, Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, Jada Pinkett Smith, David Schwimmer, and Cedric the Entertainer.

I say watch Madagascar at once, and see how you smile!

MUFASA – THE LION KING (2024): New Trailer Starring Mads Mikkelsen, Seth Rogen, Donald Glover and Kelvin Harrison Jr…

Read my spoiler-free movie review of Mufasa The Lion King (2024).

Director Barry Jenkins’s latest movie, Mufasa – The Lion King has a new more intriguing trailer. that stars Seth Rogen, Mads Mikkelsen, Aaron Pierre and Kelvin Harrison Jr.

I’ve decided I’ll try to watch Mufasa – The Lion King. Hopefully, unlike the first CGI The Lion KIng Movie (2019), I won’t be compelled to stop because my brain tells me something is off visually. And that I should watch an actual nature documentary instead.

I also don’t want to miss the Mufasa/Scar origin story. My fingers are crossed that I make it to the movie’s end this time.

Donald Glover, Anika Noni Rose, Lennie James, Billy Eichner, John Kani, Mads Mikkelsen, Thandiwe Newton, Blue Ivy Carter, Keith David, Beyoncé, Tiffany Boone, Folake Olowofoyeku and Abdul Salis also star

Mufasa – The Lion King Release Dates: December 20th (US & UK)…

MISSION IMPOSSIBLE – THE FINAL RECKONING (2025): New Trailer From Tom Cruise, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Angela Bassett…

It’s that time gain. Time for the impossible to be made possible because Mission Impossible – The Final Reckoning is coming.

Directed by Christopher McQuarrie; Tom Cruise, Hannah Waddingham, Hayley Atwell, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames and more are among the key cast.

Based on the title alone, you’d be forgiven for thinking this is the last Mission Impossible movie starring Tom Cruise. Then again, how many times has Daniel Day-Lewis retired from acting only to come back? How many Clint Eastwood movies have been mistakenly labelled as his last?

Either way, it looks as though it’s time for my MI movie hiatus to end. Time to watch the last two films I’m yet to see.

What are your feelings about Mission Impossible 8?

Vanessa Kirby, Holt McCallany, Katy O’Brian, Janet McTeer, Indira Varma, Pom Klementieff, Nick Offerman, Angela Bassett, Shea Whigham, Esai Morales, Henry Czerny and Tramell Tillman also star.

Mission Impossible – The Final Reckoning Release Dates: May 21st, 2025 (US); May 23rd, 2025 (US)…

TRANSFORMERS ONE (2024): The Things I Liked…

I was never the biggest fan of Transformers (autobots/robots that can transform into other forms, such as vehicles and animals), except I did enjoy the 2007 movie starring Shia La Boef, Megan Fox and Josh Duhamel.

Since then, the Transformers movies that followed didn’t quite speak to me. That is until I learned that the cast of Transformers One, the latest film in the franchise includes Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, Keegan Michael Key, Brian Tyree Henry, Laurence Fishburne, Jon Hamm and Steve Buscemi.

Directed by Josh Cooley, Transformers One is an animated action/adventure film about the origin story of sworn enemies Optimus Prime and Megatron, two transformers who were once the best of friends.

I must admit to enjoying Transformers One more than I expected to. Cooley’s film is a well-structured story. One with engaging, fun characters, funny moments, plus, visuals that will have you locked in – adults and children alike. And you certainly don’t have to be a die-hard Transformers fan to have a good time.

When forced to pick one thing to improve Cooley’s film, it would be for Megatron’s turn to the dark side to feel less rushed.

Watch Transformers One if you’re curious. You’ll likely find yourself pleasantly surprised.
