The latest trailer from super creative, Tom Ford has landed. Starring Amy Adams, Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Shannon, Nocturnal Animals centres around an art gallery owner who’s haunted by her ex-husband’s violent thriller novel. One that she interprets as a veiled threat.

This one is a must watch for me because of Monsieur Ford and the rest of the brilliant film making team. I’m also equally excited and terrified to see what Aaron Taylor-Johnson does with his role.

Lastly, what a year it’s proving to be for the lovely Amy Adams.

Isla Fisher Laura Linney and Armie Hammer also star.

Starring Amy Adams, Forrest Whitaker and Jeremy Renner, in Arrival, alien space crafts have landed on earth and it’s America’s expert linguist Dr. Louise Banks (Adams) whose job it is to figure out whether or not they come in peace.

Director Denis Villeneuve is the main reason I’m looking forward Arrival. His delivery of atmosphere, tension, a brilliant musical score and the cinematography in Sicario (2015) were fantastic. That’s reason enough for us all to be equally delighted and terrified, after seeing this trailer.

I’m looking forward to what the aliens fully look like. Fingers crossed that when we see them, the CGI won’t leave too much to be desired.

Something else we can probably all prepare to see in Arrival is a brilliant performance from Adams. From what I can see, her character is clearly terrified but the people around her don’t seem to be very attuned to that fact.

There’s more evidence that the comic book film domination of Hollywood is continuing to go from strength to strength. The reason is we have a trailer for DC Comics’s Justice League, a movie that we can all guess will have sequel upon sequel to follow, should this one do well at the box office. 

With Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Ben Affleck as Batman and Jason Momoa playing  Aquaman, even though I’m not the biggest fan of comic book movies at this point, I find myself curious.

I’m mostly interested because I want to see how Justice League will differ from Marvel’s Avengers. As far as I can see, both films are about superheroes coming together to save humanity. I’d really love to be pleasantly surprised by this movie’s execution.

As for my thoughts on the above teaser trailer, it didn’t have me slapping the wall with excitement and yelping with joy as I’m known to do when blessed with a thrilling tease of a trailer. Potentially controversial opinion alert: I find this trailer to be just OK.

I’ll of course wait and see before daring to declare something along the lines of ‘Marvel does it better’.

The Batman v Superman – Dawn of Justice trailer I’ve been waiting for has finally arrived! It’s all I ever really wanted to see, honestly.

This final trailer feels like something to get excited about. I’m now thinking of Cavill and Affleck’s characters as two angry men, and the words positively intense come to mind. Just look at their faces in these photos.

Starring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg and  Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, one must admit that the DC Comics’ Batman v Superman – Dawn of Justice movie trailers look pretty good.

Intense and interesting are two words that come to mind. I intend to watch for reasons including the seemingly promising dialogue. Though, I do wonder how much longer it’s going to be before comic book movie fatigue sets in on a large scale, if it does.

Either way, right now, it’s the fans who really, REALLY love these stories that I’m most excited for.

Perhaps Wonder Woman will get the two  male superheroes to work together. Just maybe.
