Just like the narrator, I too imagined that the white house, particularly the parts surrounding the Oval Office, was much larger than what we get to see in this trailer. I suppose, everything appears larger in House of Cards 2013-2018 because the set has to be built with greater dimensions to allow for ease of filming. Just a guess.

I’ll be watching for reasons including all that I didn’t already know, and just to rewind time a little bit so I can reminisce about the smarts, empathy and charisma of America’s former president.

Starring Anya Taylor Joy, Devon Terrell and directed by Vikram Gandhi, Barry is the latest Barack Obama biopic from Netflix. This time the focus is on his time in New York City as a young college student, the period that helped shape the future president of the United States.

Also starring Jason Mitchell, Ashley Judd and Ellar Coltrane, I confess that it took me a few moments to realise why a film about Barack Obama, the current president of the United States is called Barry. Clearly it must be what his friends call(ed) him. I blame my slow brain on my association of the president with ‘cool’ whereas I definitely don’t have the same association with the name Barry. (no offence to all the lovely Barrys of the world, of course).

I still haven’t watched Southside With You, the other Barack Obama biopic released earlier this year. But I am looking forward to comparing it with the new ‘college years edition’.

Before The Flood is the Leonardo DiCaprio-executive produced and narrated documentary about climate change, endangered species, ecosystems and native communities around the world.

Clearly not a drama, thriller or action movie, nevertheless, as a lifelong appreciator of DiCaprio’s work, there’s no question at all that I’ll be tuning in to this, and with great enthusiasm.

I’m also hoping to learn a few things that perhaps other similar documentaries haven’t covered in quite the same way.
