The latest trailer for the action/adventure/sci-fi film from director Joachim Rønning is here.

Tron Ares is the title, and Evan Peters, Gillian Anderson, Greta Lee, plus Jared Leto are the stars of a story about a highly sophisticated program named Ares.

I’m more than ready for all the beautiful red visuals in this movie. So much so that how promising the story and the action sequences look feels like a bonus.

Directed by Joachim Rønning, Tron Ares is the latest action/adventure/sci-fi film starring Greta Lee, Jared Leto, Evan Peters and Gillian Anderson.

The story is focused on a highly sophisticated program called Ares. One sent on a dangerous mission from the digital world into the real world.

What a wonderful trailer!

All I knew before writing this post and watching this trailer was that Jeff Bridges starred in 2010’s Tron – Legacy movie, not that I got around to watching it, sadly. I was probably too busy obsessing over DiCaprio’s Inception.

This one has me excited about the characters, story and all that beautiful red in the visual effects. Plus, we are in a different time, technologically speaking, which I imagine makes the premise even more interesting, right?

How much are you looking forward to Tron – Ares?

In new HBO crime/drama Mare of Easttown, detective Mare Sheehan (Kate Winslet) is trying to do her job while attempting to stop her own life from falling apart.

Set in a small Pennsylvania town, additional key cast includes Guy Pearce, Evan Peters, Julianne Nicholson and Jean Smart.

My interest levels were immediately high because it’s Winslet. Then lines like ‘Mare, I know what you’ve been through. And I know you’re worth saving.‘ happened. Now I’m extra curious. Especially since this trailer cleverly reveals very little.

Lastly, bring on the winning Winslet’s transformation, for I am ready.

Angourie Rice, Sosie Bacon, Izzy King, David Denman, Neal Huff, Cameron Mann, James McArdle, Kassie Mundhenk and Ben Miles also star.

From writer/director Bart Layton, American Animals is a new crime/drama about four young men who mistake their lives for a movie and attempt one of the most audacious heists in U.S. history.

Evan Peters, Barry Keoghan, Blake Jenner and Jared Abrahamson star.

I like the words ‘four young men who mistake their lives for a movie.’ With a description that starts like that, I can’t help but expect good things.

I’m looking forward to finding out where all the madness ends.

Ann Dowd, Udo Kier, Elijah Everett and Lara Grice also star.

The Pirates Of Somalia is based on the true story of rookie journalist Jay Bahadur’s time with Somali pirates. Bahadur spent time with the pirates to provide the first close-up look into who they are, how they live and the forces that drive them.

Directed by Bryan Buckley; Evan Peters, Al Pacino and Barkhad Abdi star.

This could be interesting. Though at the same time, this trailer could have done a better job of selling the movie. I don’t love how it ends.

On a separate note, it’s good to see Abdi of Captain Philips (2013) playing a non-pirate role, as far as I can tell.

Melanie Griffith and Russell Posner also star.
