State Like Sleep is a new drama starring Katherine Waterston. Waterston plays a woman dealing with the consequences of her celebrity husband’s double life following his suicide.
Written / directed by Meredith Danluck, Michiel Huisman, Luke Evans and Michael Shannon costar…
I don’t completely like this trailer edit, partly because it’s too jumpy. Still, it’s the mystery that has me interested.
Rachel Wilson, Mark O’Brien, George Tchortov and Mary Kay Place also star.
Written / directed by Jonah Hill, Mid90s is a new comedy about an LA based boy growing up in the 90s.
The film’s key cast includes Katherine Waterston, Jerrod Carmichael, Lucas Hedges, Sunny Suljic…
I can’t really say that what’s shown in this trailer speaks to my ‘growing up in the 90’s’ experience (except for some of the iconography). Nevertheless, as a fan of all of Hill’s previous comedy work, it would be silly not to give this movie a chance.
I have three main hopes post trailer viewing. Firstly that I won’t miss the Superbad (2007) vibe. Second, I hope that I won’t be wishing for Hill to be a key cast member and last but not least, my fingers are crossed that the finished product will make me laugh more than this trailer did. Especially since I’m thinking that Mid90s should probably be classified as a drama / comedy at this point.
Alexa Demie, Di Vinci SanTana and Margaret Newborn also star.
Fantastic Beasts 2 – The Crimes Of Grindenwald (2018), Eddie Redmayne
From David Yates (director of several Harry Potter films and the last Fantastic Beasts movie – Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016), Eddie Redmayne is back for Fantastic Beasts 2 – The Crimes of Grindenwald.
Redmayne is joined by Jude Law, Ezra Miller, Johnny Depp, Katherine Waterston, Colin Farell and others for more ‘wandtastic’ adventures as Newt Scamander…
The stunning visuals – including costume design, that’s why I’m in. I also can’t wait to see what Johny Depp’s character gets up to.
I have a feeling that this movie is going to be a constant reminder for of the reason why movies are my absolute favourite. They are, when done wonderfully, a true perfect amalgamation of all the arts.
Fantastic Beasts 2 – The Crimes of Grindenwald (2018), Eddie Redmayne
Fantastic Beasts 2 – The Crimes of Grindenwald is the second instalment of the ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them‘ series.
Directed by David Yates; starring Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Ezra Miller, the story is all about the ongoing adventures of Newt Scamander….
I’m still yet to watch the first movie because fantasy isn’t my favourite genre. Nevertheless, it looks as though a lot of footage from the first movie has been used for this trailer. It could just be the general look of the films and the fact that Redmayne’s character appears to sport the same outfit at all times. You know, like Bart Simpson.
It could also be that the marketing people wanted to release something exactly a year before the first movie but they had absolutely nothing to show and so they opted to use old footage. That’s probably it.
I’m sure I’ll eventually make time for these movies. Especially since I put off watching Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Childrenand actually rather enjoyed it when I saw it, finally.
Directed by Alfonso Gomez-Rejon, The Current War is the story of the cutthroat race between electricity titans Thomas Edison and George Westinghouse to determine whose electrical system would power the modern world. Benedict Cumberbatch, Michael Shannon, Nicholas Hoult and Tom Holland star…
I find this trailer somewhat over stylised. Nevertheless, there’s just too much impressive talent involved. And I definitely don’t just mean the actors. I can’t wait to see how people battled for market share back then compared to the tech giants of today.
I wonder if The Current War will come close to replacing The imitation Game (2014)as my favourite Benedict Cumberbatch movie. I think not but I’m open to pleasant surprises.
Ekow Quartey, Tuppence Middleton and Matthew Macfadyen make up additional supporting cast.
Director Steven Soderbbergh’s new movie is a comedy starring Channing Tatum, Daniel Craig, Adam Driver and Hilary Swank – to name just a few. The story centres around two brothers and their attempt to pull off a heist during a NASCAR race in North Carolina…
Such a pleasant surprise to see Daniel Craig’s face in this trailer. I imagine that the impressive cast list for this movie was probably ready to do everything in their power to secure a chance to work with Soderbergh. You know, just in case he decides to retire from films one more time, right after this one.
Katie Holmes, Riley Keough, Katherine Waterston, Sebastian Stan, Katie Holmes, David Denman, and Jack Quaid make up some of the aforementioned impressive stars.
Michael Fassbender, James Franco and Carmen Ejogo’s Ridley Scott directed new movie, Alien – Covenant has an an excellently scary new trailer.
I remember being absolutely terrified after watching the original Alien (1979) movie.
Maybe, just maybe I’ll be brave for this. Either that or this trailer is as far as my ‘peaceful sleep loving’ behind is going to get. Who knows, 2017 still could be a year in which I surprise myself in terms of the movies I end up watching.
Alien – Covenant is the second chapter in a prequel trilogy that began with Prometheus (2012), and is linked to the original Alien movie.
