2019’s Ready or Not, the horror/comedy film in which a bride’s wedding night becomes a terrifying game of hide and seek has a sequel.

Starring Samara Weaving, Elijah Wood, Kathryn Newton and Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ready or Not 2 – Here I Come follows Grace (Weaving) after surviving the deadly game, only to learn it’s far from over.

I remember watching the trailer for Ready or Not (2019) and being curious about the premise and the horror/comedy angle. Admittedly, I never got around to watching directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett’s film. Though now, I’m more likely to after seeing that it scored rather highly with critics and fans.

I also like the Weaving and Newton pairing. Bring on the badass sisters, I say!

A rather rude awakening is what happens to a group of criminals who decide to kidnap a powerful underworld figure’s ballerina daughter.

Starring Kathryn Newton, Dan Stevens, Angus Cloud, Melissa Barrera, Alisha Weir and Giancarlo Esposito; the criminal group retreats to an isolated mansion, while fully unaware of what’s just around the corner.

I want to say that I’m going to watch Abigail because this trailer amused and surprised me, but I can’t promise anything since I love a peaceful nightmare-less sleep. Still, that was quite the turn, wasn’t it?

What do you think of this trailer? I’d actually like to meet the rest of Abigail’s family (only onscreen, of course).

Also, why do I suddenly think that Giancarlo Esposito’s character knows something the rest of the criminals don’t?

In new comedy/horror/thriller Freaky, Kathryn Newton plays Millie, a young girl in high school who, after swapping bodies with a deranged serial killer; she discovers that she has less than 24 hours before the change becomes permanent.

Directed by Christopher Landon; Vince Vaughn, Celeste O’Connor, and Alan Ruck are among the key cast.

This looks like promising, silly fun. Another thing that stands out is how much fun Newton must have had playing Millie. Particularly once she turned killer.

I’m in for the two Newton roles and the Halloween silliness. Who can even believe that Halloween is so close already?

Uriah Shelton, Katie Finneran, Kelly Lamor Wilson, Dana Drori, Misha Osherovich, Mitchell Hoog, Melissa Collazo and Dustin Lewis also star.

I’m interested because it’s Roberts. I’m also curious about Ben and I’m currently having fun trying to figure out ‘what his deal is.’ Did somebody say drugs?

Saoirse Ronan, Odeya Rush and Danielle Macdonald are the stars of Lady Bird, a new Greta Gerwig-directed movie about the adventures of a young woman living in Northern California.

I’ll be watching because Gerwig is smart and wise – kind of like the big sister I never had. And then there’s Ronan, who is just, well, great in every role.
