OUTCOME (2026): New Trailer Starring Keanu Reeves, Cameron Diaz, Jonah Hill, Matt Bomer…

Keanu Reeves’s latest is a Jonah Hill-directed and co-written drama/comedy/mystery about a Hollywood star forced to confront his past, after a bizarre video is released.

Cameron Diaz, Matt Bomer, David Spade and Jonah Hill are among the key cast.

Why do I get the feeling that all the characters in this trailer are dead people? It’s the over-saturation of colour, giving a ‘not-of-this-world vibe,’ perhaps.

I like the eclectic cast, and I’m curious because of Reeves’s involvement. Lastly, Hill’s character’s look is quite a choice, is it not?

Susan Lucci, Roy Wood Jr. Ivy Wolk, Kaia Gerber, Laverne Cox, Shola Adewusi, Cary Christopher, Atsuko Okatsuka and Carlos Carrasco also star.

Outcome Release Dates: April 10th, 2026 (US & UK)…

PAPI CHULO (2018): The Things I Liked…

I was drawn to director John Butler’s Papi Chulo, a drama/comedy about a lonely weatherman’s relationship with a Latino immigrant worker because I love stories of beautiful, unexpected friendships. Especially humorous ones with engaging dialogue.

Starring Matt Bomer and Alejandro Patiño, the beautiful friendship at the core of Papi Chulo delivers some funny and memorable moments. I was moved as I watched Bomer’s portrayal of the desperation that can often come with intense loneliness, including some of the missteps one can make while seeking a quick fix.

Besides the most moving scenes, which also include the final one in Papi Chulo, one of the film’s highlights is the amusing dialogue each time immigrant worker Ernesto (Patiño) spoke to his wife on the phone.

The main thing Butler’s movie didn’t quite deliver on is consistently engaging dialogue throughout, a reality that I confess had me tempted to turn to my phone for a game of vintage Tetris a few times.

Watch Papi Chulo if you’re curious enough. There are indeed better loneliness and ‘beautiful, unexpected friendship‘ movies out there but this one also isn’t the worst.

Starring Matt Bomer, Alejandro Patiño, Elena Campbell-Martinez and Wendi McLendon-Covey, Papi Chulo is a new John Butler-directed comedy/drama.

At the heart of the story is Bomer’s character, a lonely TV weatherman and his unusual friendship with a middle-aged Latino migrant worker.

This one seems to have that special charm, promising dialogue and an unexpected yet beautiful friendship at its heart. All things I love.

Brandon Kyle Goodman, Michael Shepperd, Tommie Earl Jenkins, Marisa Szczepan, Shaughn Buchholz, Tom Beyer, Irene White and Blaine Swen also star.

Papi Chulo Release Dates: June 7th, 2019 (US)…

JONATHAN (2018): New Trailer From Ansel Elgort, Patricia Clarkson, Matt Bomer, Suki Waterhouse…

Ansel Elgort, Patricia Clarkson, Matt Bomer and Suki Waterhouse are the stars of new drama/sci-fi film, Jonathan.

Directed by Bill Oliver, the story follows Jonathan who leaves the office everyday at noon. He gets home and goes to sleep. Each morning when Jonathan wakes up, there’s a breakfast prepared for him along with a video telling him about the second part of his day.

I rather enjoyed the mysterious nature of the above synopsis. Upon seeing the trailer, I’m definitely quite intrigued and find myself thinking of cloning as a key theme.

It could also be interesting if I were wrong – especially since I do enjoy a well-executed story surprise.

Douglas Hodge, Souleymane Sy Savane, Ramses Torres and Jeff Kim also star.

VIPER CLUB (2018): New Trailer From Susan Sarandon, Matt Bomer, Edie Falco, Damian Young…

A concerned mother takes matters into her own hands following her government’s lack of concern when her son, a war correspondent is taken hostage while on assignment.

Directed by Maryam Keshavarz; Susan Saradon, Matt Bomer, Edie Falco and Damian Young star.

I’m somewhat intrigued by this because I want to know if the son makes it out alive. I’m also a tad hesitant because of the low-budget look and feel that I couldn’t help but notice.

Viper Club Release Dates: October 26th, 2018 (US)…
