Trespass Against Us is Michael Fassbender’s new Adam Smith-directed movie.

Also starring Brendan Gleeson, Fassbender plays Chad, a member of an outlaw family who’s trying to escape the criminal life.

I’m not a big fan of this trailer edit. I don’t like what it suggests about the quality of the movie. Nevertheless, I remain curious, especially about what it is about this that may have appealed to Fassbender, besides the chance to speak in his country’s accent, of course.

Trespass Against Us Release Dates: October 14th, 2016 (UK); November 24th, 2016 (US)…

Today’s trailer is for Assassin’s Creed and it’s exciting, particularly for fans of the computer game.

I for one am very happy because the trailer looks great and the movie’s stars are Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard, a usually reliable pair.

Trailer 2

Though I’ve never played the game,  I’m aware of  it’s popularity. I also love the artwork,  including Aguilar’s costume. This may or may not mean that I have a crush on a computer game character. I digress.

The director is Justin Kurzel who has also worked with Fassbender and Cotillard in the visually stunning Macbeth (2015)

Brendan Gleeson, Brian Gleeson and Jeremy Irons also star.

Assassin’s Creed Release Dates: December 21st, 2016 (US & FR); December 30th, 2016 (UK); January 5th, 2017 (GER)…

THE LIGHT BETWEEN OCEANS (2016): New Trailer From Michael Fassbender, Alicia Vikander, Rachel Weisz…

Read my spoiler-free movie review of The Light Between Oceans (2017).

Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander’s latest movie is based on a best selling book by M.L. Stedman.

Director Derek Cianfrance’s film is about a couple who raise a baby they found adrift  on a rowboat.

A heartbreaking tale and streams of tears are likely guaranteed with this one. I’ll tune in anyway because of  Fassbender’s performance.

Of course it would have been great if  this trailer hadn’t given away so much already. What to do, what to do…?

X-MEN: APOCALYPSE (2016): New Trailer Starring Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence…

X-Men Apocalypse (2016), James McAvoy - Charles Xavier
X-Men Apocalypse (2016), James McAvoy – Charles Xavier

Friday has arrived with a trailer I wasn’t aware was the thing missing from y week/life.

Starring Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy and Jennifer Lawrence, director Bryan Singer’s  X-Men: Apocalypse is the latest instalment of the X-Men franchise, and it looks good.

Trailer 1

Trailer 2

I like both trailers. For trailer one, specific footage and dialogue are especially great. What I’m less keen on is the continued use of the music first heard at 1:10, because, for me, once is quite enough.

My wish is that it all unfolds beautifully upon release.

Release date(s): May 19th, 2016 (UK), May 27th, 2016 (US)…

MACBETH (2015): New Trailer Starring Michael Fassbender & Marion Cotillard

Macbeth (2015), Marion Cotillard
Macbeth (2015), Marion Cotillard

Having grown up mostly in England, a place where you learn about William Shakespeare and at least one of his great plays, including Macbeth, I wish I could say that I know the story of of the Scottish Duke very well. In reality, I’m more aware of the name Macbeth than the story of Macbeth.

Just as well then that a mighty good looking film, starring two of my favourite acting greats is due for release next month. Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard are the stars of of director Justin Kurzel’s adaptation.

I can’t wait to take in all the glorious cinematography. if this trailer is anything to go by, the film is going to be visually stunning.

David Thewlis, Elizabeth Debicki and Paddy Considine also star.

Release Dates: October 2nd (U.S. & U.K.)
