In Sleepless, Jamie Foxx is a cop with criminal underworld connections and in search of his kidnapped son…
It’s a given that every movie that stars a parent searching for their kidnapped child will always make me think of Liam Neeson’sTaken (2008). Because it’s a great film, and one of my favourite movie experiences of all time. So much so that I kind wish that I had’t seen it yet, so I could be thrilled afresh. I sure hope Sleepless is great.
Mark Wahlberg is Sgt. Tommy Saunders in director Peter Berg’s latest thriller, Patriots Day.
The story is based on the actions of Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis in the events leading up to the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing. We also get to see the city-wide manhunt for those responsible.

Could the title for this movie be more fitting? I think not. Michelle Monaghan and Melissa Benoist also star.
Pixels (2015), Michelle Monaghan, Adam Sandler, Josh Gad, Peter Dinklage
Pixels is a comedy/action/sci-fi film directed by Chris Columbus. It stars Adam Sandler, Josh Gad, Kevin James, Michelle Monaghan and Peter Dinklage.
The first trailer for the movie didn’t look great. Though the second was an improvement, my conclusion after sitting through the movie is that I’m just not the target market.
I used to play Pac-Man growing up but never enough to call myself a half serious video gaming fan. It’s those who love and/or loved retro video games like Donkey Kong, Pac-Man and Tetris, that will get the most out of Pixels. For everyone else, there are a few funny moments but, overall, ‘silly’ might be a word that comes to mind.
Pixels (2015), Toru Iwatani
The best part in the movie, besides the soundtrack and what Pac-Man creator Toru Iwatani screams in the trailer? That would be the last twenty minutes of the film, particularly the Donkey Kong phase.
Tune in if you absolutely must. I did because I’m a fan of Gad, Sandler, Dinklage and of course, Pac-Man.
In Pixels, which stars Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Michelle Monaghan, Josh Gad and Peter Dinklage – aliens have sent real life video games to end us by pixelation – and of course we must fight! Or at least the best players of each video game character turned evil must.
