LADY IN THE LAKE (2024): New Trailer starring Natalie Portman, Moses Ingram, David Corenswet, Mikey Madison…

New 7-part drama, Lady in the Lake is based on Laura Lippman’s popular novel of the same name.

Starring Natalie Portman, Mikey Madison, Moses Ingram and David Corenswet; the story follows a housewife (Portman) who becomes obsessed with unravelling the mystery surrounding two killings.

I’m drawn to this because I love seeing Portman act, especially in big dramatic roles. At this point, I’m less into the murder investigation aspect, which may change. Especially because of the words ‘You wanted to tell everyone’s story but your own.’

Are you looking forward to Lady in the Lake?

Y’lan Noel, Bianca Belle, Josiah Cross, Byron Bowers, Selema Masekela, Derek A. Smith, Samir Royal, Michael Franklin and Jennifer Mogbock also star.

Lady in the Lake Release Dates: July 19th, 2024, Apple TV+

LUCY IN THE SKY (2019): New Trailer From Natalie Portman, Jon Hamm, Dan Stevens, Zazie Beetz…

Lucy In The Sky (2019), Natalie Portman, Fox Searchlight Pictures

John Hamm, Natalie Portman, Zazie beetz and Dan Stevens are the stars of new sci-fi/drama Lucy In The Sky.

Directed by Noah Hawley, Lucy In The Sky is the story of a female astronaut who begins to slowly unravel and lose touch with reality, following a life-changing space mission.

The cast is good, and I’ll put aside my slight fatigue when it comes to space movies, because I’m curious about Portman’s character’s emotional and psychological journey.

Nick Offerman, Tig Notaro, Ellen Burstyn, Colman Domingo, Christopher Darga, Jeremiah Birkett and Stella Edwards also star.

Starring Natalie Portman and written/directed by Brady Corbet, Vox Lux is a new drama/musical about the unusual set of circumstances that end up bringing unexpected success to a pop star.

Jude Law, Christopher Abbott, Willem Dafoe and Jennifer Ehle also star.

I’m drawn to what looks like the humour and kookiness of this movie. I also just want to see the talented Portman perform in a role I didn’t quite expect her to play.

ANNIHILATION (2018): New Trailer From Natalie Portman, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Oscar Isaac, Gina Rodriguez…

Annihilation (2018), Natalie Portman
Annihilation (2018), Natalie Portman

Annihilation is the latest movie starring Natalie Portman, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Oscar Isaac and Gina Rodriguez.

Adapted from novelist Jeff VanderMeer’s best seller of the same name, Portman plays a biologist on a dangerous secret expedition where the laws of nature don’t apply.

There are a number of reasons I want to watch this. 1.) Acting queen and all-around smart woman, Natalie Portman. 2.) Alex Garland, writer and director of my favourite Alicia Vikander movie, Ex Machina (2015)  – I’m still fantasising about a sequel that I know full well will very likely never happen. 3.) This trailer is great! It made me so happy that I punctuated watching it with the words ‘Yeah baby!’ and the thought, ‘This is what I’ve been waiting for.’

I’m so ready. I just hope it isn’t too similar to Arrival (2016), a movie I’ll soon see.

Tessa Thompson, David Gyasi, Cosmo Jarvis and Sonoya Mizuno also star.

Annihilation Release Dates: February 23rd, 2018 (US & UK)…

SONG TO SONG (2017): New Trailer From Natalie Portman, Rooney Mara, Michael Fassbender, Ryan Gosling…

Celebrated filmmaker Terrence Malick has a new movie starring Michael Fassbender, Ryan Gosling, Rooney Mara and Natalie Portman.

Song To Song is about two intersecting love triangles set against the music scene in Austin, Texas.

I want this to be great because I’m a fan of everyone involved. I especially want this to be better than Malick’s previous movie Knight Of Cups (2015), which I’m yet to see but I know the reception wasn’t great.

On another note, I’m going to guess that the trailers for both, this movie and Knight of Cups were edited by the very same person.

Song To Song Release Dates: March 17th, (2017); 2017 (UK)…
