Starring Kevin Bacon, Amanda Seyfried and Colin Blumenau, writer/director David Koepp’s horror/mystery You Should Have Left is set at a remote house in the Alps.

Having travelled there with his family, Bacon plays a screenwriter who’s hoping to write the sequel to his big hit film. Only, he begins to regret his decision following a severe case of writer’s block.

I’m drawn to this one because of Bacon, and certainly at the risk of never looking at light switches the same way again.

Maybe this movie will be more ‘mystery’ than ‘horror.’ You know, since I appreciate a good night’s sleep, one that’s free of nightmares, more than I do movie-induced scares. Fingers crossed, we have a good one here.

Eli Powers, Avery Tiiu Essex, Lowri Ann Richards and Joshua C Jackson also star.

Read my spoiler-free movie review of Scoob! (2020)

Starring Zac Efron, Mark Wahlberg, Amanda Seyfried and Mckenna Grace, Scoob! is a new Scooby Doo movie that takes us back to when Scooby and the gang were all young trick-or-treaters.

From director Tony Cervone, the gang’s challenge this time is to stop a plot to unleash the ghost dog Cerberus upon the world, and end the dogpocalypse.

Nostalgia is the reason I’m curious about this one. I wonder if I’ll still enjoy Scooby and gang the way I’ll very likely always love The Simpsons. Especially my darling, super mischievous Bartholomew Simpson.

Jason Isaacs, Gina Rodriguez, Will Forte, Kiersey Clemons, Pierce Gagnon, Ariana Greenblatt, Frank Welker (Voice of Scooby), Ken Jeong, Iain Armitage (Voice of Shaggy) and Tracy Morgan also star.

The Art Of Racing In The Rain is a new Simon Curtis-directed comedy/drama starring Milo Ventimiglia, Kevin Costner and Amanda Seyfried.

Costner lends his voice to a golden retriever named Enzo as he recalls the life lessons he’s learned from his race car driving owner, Denny.

I half-seriously suspect that this movie was made to make more people into dog owners, not that I’m mad about it. For me, perhaps one day, but I’m really watching for two reasons, which are Costner lending his rather pleasant voice to represent this very gorgeous canine and Ventimiglia.

Gary Cole, Kathy Baker, Al Sapienza, Martin Donovan, Karen Holness and also star.
