Directed by Justin Lin, Vin Diesel, Charlize Theron, John Cena, Helen Mirren and Michelle Rodriguez are the stars of the ninth Fast & Furious movie, Fast & Furious 9.

The seemingly unbelievable stunts have me interested, especially for the entertainment value and or potential giggles, because I admit I was amused as this trailer played.

Then there’s Theron, Cena and… did I see London, England as a location? These are the reasons for my interest.

Michelle Rodriguez, Ludacris, Jim Parrack, Lucas Black, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Michael Rooker, Finn Cole, Cardi B, Tyrese Gibson and Anna Sawai also star.

Director Bill Condon’s latest is The Good Liar, a London-set drama starring Helen Mirren, Ian McKellen and Russell Tovey.

The Good Liar is the story of career con artist Roy (Ian McKellan). Roy meets his next target, Betty online, and instead of the usual straightforward job, he finds himself in an unexpected complication.

Well done trailer maker! Now that my immediate feelings about this well-edited two-minute and twelve-second edit is out of the way, why do I suddenly feel as though she’s the one playing him?

It’s probably just my desire that she be smarter than his conman proclivities. Either way, this cast is fantastic and I can’t wait to go through the highs and lows of this promising story.

Mark Lewis Jones, Jim Carter, Jacqueline Ramnarine, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson, Celine Buckens, Bessie Carter and Aleksandar Jovanovic also star.

Anna is writer/director Luc Besson’s story about Anna Poliatova; a striking beauty with a secret that will unleash her indelible strength and skill. Skills that make her one of the world’s most feared government assassins.

Key cast includes Sasha Luss, Cillian Murphy, Helen Mirren and Luke Evans.

I wish that the weapon sound effects in this trailer didn’t seem quite so exaggerated. Especially for the moment at 1:10 when the neck slicing using two plate halves happens.

Regardless of my one gripe, this seems quite promising and I look forward to finding out how Anna compares to hit female assassin TV show Killing Eve (2018), Angelina Jolie’s Salt (2010) and Charlize Theron’s Atomic Blonde (2017).

Lera Abova, Alexander Petrov, Nikita Pavlenko, Anna Krippa, Aleksey Maslodudov, Eric Godon, Ivan Franek and Adrian Canalso star.

In Winchester – The House That Ghosts Built, Helen Mirren is an eccentric firearm heiress who believes that she’s being haunted by the souls of people killed by the Winchester repeating rifle. Jason Clarke and Sarah Snook also star, while Peter and Michael Spierig write/direct.

For some reason, it crossed my mind after watching this trailer that there may be an interesting twist in this story.

I’m into this because it’s Mirren, and I’m hoping that the horrors are more like those in Crimson Peak (2015) rather than something that will result in nightmares for me. What do you think?

Based on the novel by Michael Zadoorian, I’ll be watching because the actors are fantastic and I’ll no doubt be in the mood for something this sweet and adorable come release day.
