It’s that time again. Time for a new epic-looking movie from one of Hollywood’s most celebrated.

Starring Michelle Williams, Gabriel LaBelle, Paul Dano and Seth Rogen; The Fabelmans is set in post-World War II era Arizona in a family where a young man named Sammy turns to film, to help him see the truth after a shattering family secret.

I was already interested in watching how it is that films helped young Sammy. But now, knowing that this is the story of Spielberg’s own family, I just have to learn more about the origin story of one of the world’s most respected directors.

There’s also the brilliant cast to consider, particularly the ever-consistent Dano and Williams.

Additional supporting cast includes Jeannie Berlin, Julia Butters, Robin Bartlett, Keeley Karsten, Judd Hirsch, Nicolas Cantu and Isabelle Kusman.

In After The Wedding, Isabel (Michelle Williams) is the manager of an orphanage in Kolkata, India. In desperate need of money to keep the orphanage afloat, Isabel travels to New York to meet a benefactor (Julianne Moore) whose life couldn’t be more different from her own.

Directed by Bart Freundlich; additional cast members include Billy Crudup, Will Chase and Abby Quinn.

I’m interested to watch Moore playing what looks like a somewhat sinister character. I’m also curious about Isabel’s lifestyle, especially since it’s so far removed from my own.

Then there’s the secret. I want to know what the seemingly dark, potentially life destroying secret is. I’m aware that I just made myself sound quite nosy – but I swear, I simply love a promising movie plot and a good trailer with wonderful actors.

Doris McCarthy, Azhy Robertson, Eisa Davis, Alex Esola, Eric D. Hill Jr. and Teea Loreal also star.

All the Money in the World is the story of a left-wing paramilitary organisation in Italy. One that hatched a massive kidnapping plot in the 1970s.

Directed by Ridley Scott; Christopher Plummer, Mark Wahlberg, Michelle Williams and Timothy Hutton star.

To save one’s grandson and let the world know that you negotiate with terrorists, or sacrifice your grandson so that no one ever thinks that they can demand and receive a ransom from you, ever again.

Whatever Mr. Getty does or doesn’t do, it should be interesting to watch, especially with such a talented and super-engaging cast.

The Greatest Showman tells the story of P.T. Barnum, a visionary who rose from nothing to create the mesmerising spectacle known as the circus.

Directed by Michael Gracey; Zac Efron, Hugh Jackman, Rebecca Ferguson, Zendaya and Michelle Williams are among the key cast.

I’m not the biggest fan of musicals but I like the cast too much to ignore this. There’s also the romance of it all, of course.

Paul Sparks, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Natasha Liu Bordizzo and Diahann Carroll also star.

Certain Women is a story about 3 women whose lives intersect in an American small town.

Starring Kristen Stewart, Michelle Williams and Laura Dern, what the women have in common is that they’re all in their own way imperfectly blazing a trail/finding themselves.

The theme of the movie and the atmosphere of this trailer both really appeal. I’m also very happy to have another Michelle Williams movie to get excited about. The lady is a wonderful actor. Did you notice her character’s power poses? If you haven’t already, watch the Manchester By The Sea (2016) trailer released a week or so ago. 

Certain Women is directed by Kelly Reichardt and based on stories by Maile Meloy. James Le Gros, Rene Auberjonois and John Getz also star.
