Based on the novel by Stephen King and Joe Hill, director Vincenzo Natali’s In The Tall Grass is a new horror/thriller starring Patrick Wilson, Avery Whitted, Laysla De Oliveira and Harrison Gilbertson.

It’s the story of a sister and brother who venture into a vast field of tall grass, after hearing a young boy’s cry for help, only to realise that there may be no way out.

I can’t help but wonder, is there actually a novelist whose books have resulted in film adaptations more than Stephen King? I think not.

I want to see this one because I’m curious about where King’s imagination will take us this time.

On a related note, if a stranger is asking for help from within a field of tall grass, while I’m on the edge of it, I’d like to believe that not only am I NOT going to enter the tall grass, but what I’d like to think I’d do instead is ask questions first. You know, important questions that the emergency services I’ll be calling will need answers to. That all makes some sense in my head. That is, until I realise that the voice asking for help belongs to a seemingly helpless child.

And just like that, into the tall grass I go… to never be seen again.
