Robert Aramayo, Shirley Henderson, Maxine Peake and Peter Mullan are the stars of I Swear, a new drama about the true life story of John Davidson. A story that starts with a Tourette’s diagnosis at fifteen, at a time when few had witnessed, let alone heard of the condition.

I’m in for Aramayo’s performance and the education. I’ve watched a documentary or two about Tourette’s before, and I’m ready for a good biographical film.

It’s quite the challenge that Davidson was tasked with. Thank goodness he was able to make it through and do much more than most expected.

Sanjeev Kohli, Steven Cree, Paddy Towers, Ellie MacDowall, Adam McNamara, Anthony Capaldi, Jason Alan Staines, Scott Ellis Watson, Jamie Marie Leary and Paul Donnelly also star.
