Directed by Marjane Satrapi, Radioactive stars Rosamund Pike, Anya Taylor-Joy and Aneurin Barnard.

Satrapi’s film is the biography of Marie and Pierre Curie; a pair whose scientific discovery of radium went on to win the Nobel Prize in 1903…

Before this trailer, I’d definitely heard of the Curies. I just couldn’t quite remember what their precise scientific accomplishments are. The shame!

Luckily, with the help of this movie, hopefully I won’t forget again.

Simon Russell Beale, Sam Riley, Jonathan Aris, Corey Johnson, Mirjam Novak, Harriet Turnbull, Demetri Goritsas, Cara Bossom, Tim Woodward, Indica Watson and Peter Sztojanov Jr. also star.

Radioactive Release Dates: March 20th, 2020 (UK)…

BEIRUT (2018): New Trailer From Jon Hamm, Rosamund Pike, Shea Whigham…

Beirut (2018), Jon Hamm
Beirut (2018), Jon Hamm

In Brad Anderson directed Beirut, Jon Hamm is a U.S. diplomat who flees Lebanon in 1972 after a tragic incident at his home. Ten years pass and he’s called back to war-torn Beirut by CIA operatives to negotiate for the life of a friend he left behind.

Rosamund Pike and Shea Whigham also star…

I want to see this so I can have another film to add to my list of favourite Jon Hamm performances, besides Mad Men and Friends With Kids (2011). This character seems to be complex enough to make this movie rather interesting.

I also haven’t watched Baby Driver (2017) yet so there’s still that. Not quite sure how ‘complex’ Hamm’s character is likely to be though.

Beirut Release Dates: April 13th, 2018 (US)

7 Days in Entebbe (2018), Daniel Brühl, Rosamund Pike

7 Days In Entebbe tells the story of four hijackers who in 1976 forced a plane to land in Entebbe, Uganda. All in the effort to free the dozens of Palestinians jailed in Israel.

Rosamund Pike, Daniel Brühl and Eddie Marsan star while José Padilha directs…

Not that the stories are that similar but Steven Spielberg’s Munich (2005) came to mind as I watched this trailer. If this movie is as good as that, I’ll be delighted. Delighted, I tell you!

7 Days In Entebbe Release Dates: March 9th, 2018 (UK); March 16th, 2018 (US)…

HOSTILES (2017): New Trailer From Christian Bale, Rosamund Pike, Peter Mullan, Ben Foster…

Hostiles (2017), Rosamund Pike

Starring Christian Bale, Rosamund Pike, Ben Foster and Peter Mulan, Hostiles tells the story of what happened when in 1892, a legendary Army captain reluctantly agreed to escort a Cheyenne chief and his family through dangerous territory…

The brilliance that is Mr. Bale is the reason I’m tuning in. He embodies such screen presence, charisma and that’s before he even says a single word.

Directed by Scott Cooper; Jesse Plemons, Stephen Lang, Paul Anderson and Q’orianka Kilcher also star.

A UNITED KINGDOM (2016): New Trailer From David Oyelowo, Rosamund Pike, Tom Felton…

United Kingdom (2016), Rosamund Pike, David Oyelowo

2016 has come with another movie about forbidden love based on race. First we have Loving set in 1950s Virginia, USA – a true story which  stars Ruth Negga and Joel Edgerton. Today we have A United Kingdom, another true story of the love between African royalty (Prince Seretse Khama of Botswana) and a non-royal caucasian woman from London, England…

As is the case with Loving I’m looking forward to watching love win in A United Kingdom.

Directed by Amma Asante of Belle (2013) I’m excited for my faith in humanity to be renewed once more.

Jack Davenport, Arnold Oceng, Laura Carmichael and Charlotte Hope also star.

A United Kingdom Release Dates: November 25th, 2016 (UK); February 17th, 2017 (US)…
