I love the trend of a new reimagining of Christmas movies every year, a trend that I first noticed with Fatman (2020).
Admittedly, I wasn’t sure about Red One until the very end of this trailer when Johnson’s character asked, ‘Is my face still there?‘ I’m still not sure, honestly. However, I’m now more inclined to give it a try.
On second thought, I’ve watched this trailer at least twice now and after the second viewing, I find myself even more excited. Funny how that can happen.
I’m also curious about the Johnson/Evans dynamic. What are your feelings after watching this trailer?

It’s June, the perfect time to think about Christmas, everyone!
😁! Some people think it’s always a good time to think about Christmas. I’m used to Christmas movie trailers being released earlier and earlier these days, to be honest. An April trailer release wouldn’t surprise me either.

Red One was supposed to come out last year on streaming, but they pushed it to this year for a theatrical release. I still think it looks like a streaming movie, but it could be a fun time. Badass Santa movies are definitely an odd trend.

I’m very curious to see how far the badass Santa trend will go. May it remain fun. I also remember loving David Harbour’s Violent Night (2022).
I agree it has the look of a streamer, but it may do some decent box office due to that star wattage. I think this is Evans doing the “heavy lifting” here towards making this one a success. Definitely interested in seeing if he can make it happen.
