Aaron Taylor-Johnson and John Cena’s latest movie is a war time drama/thriller.

Directed by Doug Liman, The Wall is set during a standoff between an Iraqi sniper and an American sharpshooter.

I want to to see this since I’m a big Taylor-Johnson fan and also because it would be great to watch John Cena do a great job with the role.

Well done trailer maker! Good edit and the tension is very promising.

Laith Nakli also stars.

The Wall Release Dates: March 10th, (2017)…

Trailer 1

This one is a must watch for me because of Monsieur Ford and the rest of the brilliant film making team. I’m also equally excited and terrified to see what Aaron Taylor-Johnson does with his role.

Lastly, what a year it’s proving to be for the lovely Amy Adams.

Isla Fisher Laura Linney and Armie Hammer also star.

Nocturnal Animals Release Dates: November 4th, 2016 (UK); December 9th, 2016 (US)…

NOWHERE BOY (2009): For The Story, Music & Performances…

Nowhere Boy (2009), Aaron Taylor-Johnson

By the end of Nowhere Boy, I found myself wondering why we don’t see Aaron Taylor-Johnson in more movies. His performance as John Lennon is really quite impressive.

Directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson, Nowhere Boy tells the story of celebrated musician, activist and The Beatles co-founder John Lennon. We get to find out about the unconventional circumstances of his adolescent years, his relationship with key relatives and of course, the events that lead to the founding of The Beatles.

The movie appealed to me – not so much for the music of the mid 1950s era, even though that is a highlight. The big draw for me was my curiosity about the beginnings of Lennon and as a fan of great acting, I was drawn to the the key cast and their portrayals.

The performances by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Kristen Scott Thomas, Ann-Marie Duff, and David Threlfall (of the TV show Shameless – the original UK version) really stood out for me. I particularly loved the powerful, well-paced and perfectly choreographed confrontation scene towards the end. That moment took me back to my high school and college drama class days. A time when you know you’re witnessing something that just really works.

Watch it for all the reasons above; 1950s music, fashion, the story and performances you won’t forget any time soon.

AVENGERS AGE OF ULTRON (2015): James Spader’s Voice… *Sigh

Read my spoiler-free movie review of Avengers Age of Ultron (2015).

If you thought the first trailer for Marvel’s Avengers – Age of Ultron was good, there’s more. Captain America, Hulk, Iron Man – all the Avengers are great. But as the movie title states. This is all about Ultron.

I’m going to tear you apart… from the inside

Really hear these words delivered by the wonderfully voiced James Spader (Ultron), and I think you’ll agree that evil has never sounded so good. To think I once believed ‘There are no strings on me from the first trailer was the best line.
