In Smallfoot, Channing Tatum plays Migo, a Yeti convinced that the elusive creatures known as ‘humans’ actually do exist.

Zendaya and Danny DeVito also star while Karey Kirkpatrick and Jason Reisig cowrite and direct.

As I watched this trailer, a few things went through my mind. Firstly, what a brilliant idea! I totally didn’t see the twist coming. Second, how nice for Tatum, finally a movie he’s made that his young daughter can watch all the way through.

Last but not least, of course, Tatum’s character had to have great dance moves.

I’m looking forward to this one, and I’ll be careful not to watch any more Smallfoot trailers because I just really want to be surprised and delighted on viewing day.

Additional cast includes Jimmy Tatro, Yara Shahidi, Gina Rodriguez, James Corden, LeBron James and Common.

Annihilation is the latest movie starring Natalie Portman, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Oscar Isaac and Gina Rodriguez.

Adapted from novelist Jeff VanderMeer’s best seller of the same name, Portman plays a biologist on a dangerous secret expedition where the laws of nature don’t apply.

There are a number of reasons I want to watch this. 1.) Acting queen and all-around smart woman, Natalie Portman. 2.) Alex Garland, writer and director of my favourite Alicia Vikander movie, Ex Machina (2015)  – I’m still fantasising about a sequel that I know full well will very likely never happen. 3.) This trailer is great! It made me so happy that I punctuated watching it with the words ‘Yeah baby!’ and the thought, ‘This is what I’ve been waiting for.’

I’m so ready. I just hope it isn’t too similar to Arrival (2016), a movie I’ll soon see.

Tessa Thompson, David Gyasi, Cosmo Jarvis and Sonoya Mizuno also star.

Starring Keegan-Michael Key, Zachary Levi, Gina Rodriguez and Kristin Chenoweth; The Star, a new animated movie directed by Timothy Reckart tells the story of the first Christmas, from the perspective of the animals.

I’m curious because I want to know if the donkey in this movie will cause me to forget about one of the most famous animated donkeys of all time. At least while I watch this movie anyway. I’m of course, referring to ‘Donkey’ from Shrek (2001).

Ving Rhames, Anthony Anderson, Kris Kristofferson, Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry also star.
