MASTERMINDS (2015): More Galifianakis ‘Crazy’, With A Side of Wiig & Sudeikis…

Mastaminds (2015), Zach Galifianakis
Mastaminds (2015), Zach Galifianakis

Funny/bearded actor Zach Galifianakis, best known for his excellent turn in the Hangover (2009) movies as the somewhat unhinged Alan is back.

This time, Galifianakis comes with Jason Sudeikis, Kristen Wiig, Owen Wilson and Kate Mckinnon in Masterminds – a very promising new comedy due this summer.

I’m most excited about Galifiniakis, of course; but also the character played by Sudeikis.

Fingers firmly crossed that this movie is filled with more great lines and scenes not yet shown in the trailer. Please and thank you.

Mastaminds a.k.a. The Bank Heist (2016) Release Dates: September 30th, 2016 (US)…

THE MARTIAN (2015): Another Space Sci-Fi Hit Is Coming…

The Martian (2015), Matt Damon

Read my spoiler-free movie review of The Martian (2015)

The new film from Ridley Scott, director of many hit films including Gladiator (2000) stars Matt Damon and it looks amazing.

As excited as I undoubtedly am, something tells me I’m probably going to get my heart broken, and by that I don’t mean I’ll be disappointed but that something similar to the end of 1998’s Armageddon might happen.

I’d of course much rather be pleasantly surprised than have that particular theory come to fruition.

Then again, on the other hand, whatever it takes for the film to be great is what I really, really want. As such, I surrender.

Bring on November!

THE SECRET LIFE OF WALTER MITTY (2013): Inspiration For Living

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (2013), Ben Stiller
The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (2013), Ben Stiller

Walter Mitty is a man who has numerous vivid daydreams about everything he wishes he could be at a given moment but never is.

Directed by funny man, Ben Stiller, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty takes you along on a journey that leads to a point where Walter, as the movie poster suggests, stops dreaming and starts living.

This is definitely an entertaining watch and becomes most interesting and fun from the moment Walter meets the bearded and intoxicated giant (one of my favourite characters). It makes sense that the film becomes especially engaging at this point, because it’s soon after Walter decides to be adventurous, brave, and start living.

For those who realise/feel like they haven’t done much that’s considered noteworthy and want to change that, Stiller’s movie is great inspiration for formulating a plan and taking action.

One of my own dreams was to go to New York. I’d been forever curious for many years. So, finally making that particular wish come true was truly super.

Watch The Secret Life of Walter Mitty for the fun adventure with a handful of entertaining characters. It’s almost a guarantee that you’ll find yourself inspired.
