DIE MY LOVE (2025): New Trailer from Jennifer Lawrence, Robert Pattinson, Sissy Spacek, Nick Nolte…

A remote, forgotten rural area is the setting of Robert Pattinson and Jennifer Lawrence’s latest comedy/drama/thriller. One about a mother’s struggle as she battles with psychosis.

Directed by Lynne Ramsay, LaKeith Stanfield, Nick Nolte, and Sissy Spacek are among the key cast.

Is it me, or does this trailer look like it shows a couple who are simply going through a generic tough time in their relationship, rather than a woman battling psychosis, as per the synopsis?

I’m interested, yet I’m also not in a rush to watch a relationship implode. Particularly since, so far, this seems like having to witness two people you know well, fight right in front of you.

Kennedy Calderwood, Gabrielle Rose, Zoe Cross and Kasmere Trice Stanfield also star.

Die My Love Release Dates: November 7th, 2025 (US); November 14th, 2025 (UK)…

PLAY DIRTY (2025): The Thing I Liked…

Play Dirty (2025), Mark Wahlberg, LaKeith Stanfield, Prime Video
Play Dirty (2025), Mark Wahlberg, LaKeith Stanfield, Prime Video

Mark Wahlberg, LaKeith Stanfield, and Rosa Salazar’s latest heist movie, Play Dirty, delivered in one way. It had a great first shootout just before the thirty-minute mark. Everything else after that isn’t noteworthy.

Having seen a handful of good heist movies before, Play Dirty just isn’t funny enough, clever enough, or adequately exciting.

The mix of personalities in this story didn’t work for me. And having an obvious enemy on the protagonist’s team. i.e., Salazar’s character, whom I disliked almost immediately, didn’t help matters either.

Wahlberg is always watchable to me, as are Stanfield and Tony Shalhoub. Unfortunately, director Shane Black’s script just wasn’t worth their talents and efforts. Nevertheless, as always, if you’re curious enough, you know what to do.

Read my spoiler-free movie review of Play Dirty (2025).

We have a new heist movie starring Wahlberg, Keegan-Michael Key, LaKeith Stanfield and Rosa Salazar coming up.

From director Shane Black, Wahlberg plays a ruthless thief who stumbles upon a major heist.

This is just the kind of fun, light-hearted action I have time for lately. I also tend to enjoy Wahlberg in action roles like this. The talented Stanfield and Salazar don’t hurt either. I’m read.

Chukwudi Iwuji, Nat Wolff, Gretchen Mol, Thomas Jane, Tony Shalhoub, Hemky Madera, Alejandro Edda and Claire Lovering also star.

Play Dirty Release Dates: October 1st 2025 (US + UK)…

THE BOOK OF CLARENCE (2023): New Trailer From LaKeith Stanfield, RJ Cyler, David Oyelowo, Benedict Cumberbatch…

Written/directed by Jeymes Samuel, The Book of Clarence is the story of a man named Clarence who risks everything for a better life. His inspiration? the rising Messiah, of course.

Lakeith Stanfield, David Oyelowo, RJ Cyler, James McAvoy, Omar Sy, Afre Woodard, Benedict Cumberbatch and Anna Diop are among the key cast.

So many thoughts going through my head with this one. I’m excited to see Stanfield deliver as he always does. I also can’t wait to see the various aspects of the universal human experience on display for us to collectively recognise, reflect upon and laugh at.

I’m ready for the great soundtrack, especially if the music in this trailer is anything to go by.

Lastly, This fun comedy sketch came to mind as this trailer played. Anyone else?

The Book of Clarence Release Dates: January 12th, 2024 (US)…

JUDAS AND THE BLACK MESSIAH (2021): Great New Trailer Starring Daniel Kaluuya, LaKeith Stanfield, Jesse Plemons…

Judas and the Black Messiah tells the story of Fred Hampton, Chairman of the Illinois Black Panther Party, and his fateful betrayal by FBI informant William O’Neal.

Co-directed by Ryan Coogler and Shaka King, this very promising movie stars Daniel Kaluuya, LaKeith Stanfield and Jesse Plemons.

It’s official, this is my favourite week of movie trailer releases in 2020. First we had Ratched (2020) a couple of days ago and now this. I’ve already watched this trailer countless times and I cannot wait to see what looks like a superb performance from Kaluuya and Stanfield. Two brilliant actors I last saw together in Jordan Peele’s massive hit, Get Out (2017).

This is the kind of movie that I imagine will be really great to see in a movie theatre.

Martin Sheen, Ashton Sanders, Lil Rel Howery, Algee Smith, Jermaine Fowler, Robert Longstreet, Dominique Fishback, Nick Fink and Darrell Britt-Gibson also star.

Judas and The Black Messiah Release Dates: February 12th, 2021, (US); February 26th, 2021 (UK)…
