Bharat Nalluri directs Dan Stevens, Christopher Plummer, Jonathan Pryce and Simon Callow in a movie about the journey that led to the creation of one of Charles Dickens’s most classic characters.

The movie is The Man Who Invented Christmas and the character? Ebenezer Scrooge from A Christmas Carol, of course!

With a title like The Man Who Invented Christmas, how can I not be curious enough to see this? Especially considering what a big deal Christmas is these days. I’m not really referring to the religious aspect, of course.

Marshall is the story of Thurgood Marshall, the first African American Supreme Court Justice.

Starring Chadwick Boseman, Dan Stevens, Josh Gad, Jussie Smollett and Kate Hudson, director Reginald Hudlin takes us through one of Marshall’s career-defining cases.

I’m excited because Boseman is good, and Marshall the man is interesting because of his achievements.

Also, what I’ve seen so far in this trailer is reminding me of the undeniable cool factor as embodied by Denzel Washington’s character in American Gangster (2007) – a movie I need to re-watch again soon.

Read my spoiler-free movie review of Norman (2016).

The trailer for Norman, the latest movie starring Dan Stevens, Richard Gere, Michael Sheen and Steve Buscemi looks peculiar.

Written/directed by Joseph Cedar, Norman is the story of Norman Oppenheimer, a small-time operator who befriends a young politician at a low point in his life.

Three years later, when the politician becomes an influential world leader, Norman’s life dramatically changes for better and worse.

May the changes that happen in Norman’s life please make for very interesting viewing, because this cast is good. I’m also curious about what it really takes to be a so-called ‘operator.’

Charlotte Gainsbourg, Lior Ashkenazi and Jonathan Avigdori also star.

Today’s trailer definitely isn’t the kind I’d been expecting from Oscar winning actress Anne Hathaway.

Still, Colossal, a Nacho Vigalondo written/directed movie about a woman (Hathaway) who finds that severe catastrophic events are in some way connected to her present mental breakdown could be absolutely great, Even though the following trailer which also stars Jason Sudeikis and Dan Stevens hasn’t quite managed to convince me just yet.
