In Aquaman, Jason Momoa is Arthur; a man who learns of his position as heir to the underwater kingdom of Atlantis.

Arthur must step forward to lead his people and become a hero to the world.

Directed by James Wan; key cast includes Momoa, Amber Heard, Nicole Kidman and Randall Park.

I’m in for the visual spectacle and to see Momoa do a good job.

Patrick Wilson and Willem Dafoe also star.

Read my spoiler-free movie review of Boy Erased (2018).

Joel Edgerton is the director and a co-star in Boy Erased, a new drama/biography based on the true story of Jared Conlon, a Baptist preacher’s son who was forced to participate in a church-supported gay conversion program.

Additional key cast includes Nicole Kidman, Russell Crowe and Lucas Hedges.

This trailer is beautiful, the cast is brilliant, and the story is worthwhile. I’m looking forward to this one and more from Edgerton as director.

Xavier Dolan, Troye Sivan, William Ngo and Jesse LaTourette also star.

HOW TO TALK TO GIRLS AT PARTIES (2017): New Trailer From Elle Fanning, Nicole Kidman, Ruth Wilson, Alex Sharp…

Elle Fanning, Nicole Kidman, Ruth Wilson and Alex Sharp are the stars of How to Talk to Girls at Parties, a John Cameron Mitchell-directed comedy/romance about an alien. One that’s touring the galaxy but breaks away from her group and meets two young inhabitants of the most dangerous place in the universe – the London suburb of Croydon.

I’m in for the alien activity and the costumes. I also can’t say that I didn’t find the line in the official synopsis about Croydon amusing. Especially since I’m not from there, but I know of its reputation.

How To Talk To Girls At Parties Release Dates: May 18th, 2018 (UK)…

THE KILLING OF A SACRED DEER (2017): New Trailer From Nicole Kidman, Colin Farrell, Alicia Silverstone, Barry Keoghan…

The Killing of a Sacred Deer (2017), Colin Farrell

Co-written and directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, The Killing of a Sacred Deer stars Nicole Kidman, Colin Farrell, Alicia Silverstone and Barry Keoghan.

At the heart of the story is a charismatic surgeon who’s forced to make an unthinkable sacrifice after his life starts to fall apart, and the behaviour of a teenage boy he has taken under his wing turns sinister.

I remember at least partly enjoying The Lobster (2015), the last Yorgos Lanthimos movie I watched. Therefore, I’m thinking and hoping that this will not disappoint.

There’s also the wonderfully full beard that Colin Farrell is sporting. I at least need to look at that a little more.

The Killing Of A Sacred Deer Release Dates: October 20th, 2017 (UK); November 3rd 2017 (UK)…

THE BEGUILED (2017): New Trailer Starring Colin Farrell, Nicole Kidman, Kirsten Dunst, Elle Fanning…

The Beguiled (2017), Colin Farrell
The Beguiled (2017), Colin Farrell

In The Beguiled, Colin Farrell plays a wounded Union soldier who cons his way into the hearts of the women in a Confederate girls’ boarding school.

Soon enough, the women turn against each other, just before they get smart and turn on him. Directed by Sofia Coppola; other acting talent includes Nicole Kidman, Kirsten Dunst, Elle Fanning and Angourie Rice.

I find this trailer promising, especially because of the cast. I want to be even more excited but after The Bling Ring (2013) – the last Sofia Coppola directed movie I saw which I did not enjoy as much as expected,  I’ll wait and see;  in a very calm and perfectly balanced manner. Also this is a remake of the 1971 movie of the same name starring Clint Eastwood.

The Beguiled Release Dates: June 23rd, 2017 (UK); June 30th, 2017 (US)…
